Dear old dad has found himself in a mess of indictments for insider trading… and guilty. The brothers need to save their legacy. All of this occurs as King Group hires Elite Architectural firm to design Kings’ new building in Chicago. When the team walks into Cole’s office… there stands his one-night stand. The one whose virginity she gifted him after being dumped by her ex. This young and talented your woman, Delilah West is as shocked as Cole is. He confronts her, being a complete jerk, accusing her of “knowing” who he was to get this job. A take-no-prisoners type of person… Delilah informs him in no uncertain terms that she would never “prostitute” herself for any job. And they are off. Will Cole find himself capable of simply feeling? Can Delilah’s view towards building in a sustainability foresight impress him. And will their off the charts passion, lead to a HEA something Cole does not believe exists. Worry dialogue. Two complicated people who are trying to be causal with whatever it is they are doing and learning about each other. Highly recommend. Can not wait for books on the brothers.

4.5 stars. I enjoy romance books, but this generally isn't my type of romance genre. I'd say give it a read, though, regardless. The story kept my attention throughout. Delilah wasn't your typical bumbling dummy but an intelligent and interesting character. Cole was spicy, and appealing. Not the bland domineering characters sometimes seen these books. While he shouldn't be the most likable character, he is written so well that you understand him, and it gave him a lot of appeal, imo. The brothers whom I suspect will have their own books will also be a fun read, and I'd like to see how the story progresses in their world. Side note... I also thought the best friend was a great character even though she wasn't a main focal character. She was written in a supportive and realistic way. Same with Beth.

This was so good! This was way better than I expected. I loved Delilah soooo much and the fact that all the negative people in her life got what they deserved? Gold. Pure gold. Cole, he was deliciously possessive, however he was a major jerk in some parts. The only reason for the dip in .25 ⭐️’s is because there needed to be way more groveling. He needed to be put on ice for a week or two more, not just a few days. But I felt that chemistry jump right off the page from the first moment. This is definitely spicy too, about a 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5 on the hot scale BUT the steamy scenes were done in a way I enjoyed. Not too smutty. All around, this was a good balance of plot, character development, romance and spice. I definitely recommend!

I absolutely loved Coldhearted King and couldn’t put it down, but you know life so I had to. This is a billionaire, one night stand turned office romance with an inexperienced fmc and an age gap. Our fmc, Delilah is an architect, youngest at her company. The mmc, Cole King is our coldhearted billionaire, whose main focus is his family’s company. Delilah finds herself at bar trying to drown her sorrows after a break up and meets Cole. She wants to stop overthinking things and decides to go to Cole’s hotel room. The pages burn up with their chemistry and spice. A month later, Delilah is getting ready to present a design proposal with her firm and she is shocked to see Cole at the head of the table. Their working relationship is tense and quickly turns to no strings attached fun. They both agree that it will end and it’s only physical. Their heads may know this but the heart starts to get in the way. Cole attempts to keep Delilah at arms length but is surprised that she makes him feel things he’s never felt before. Their connection grows and soon they both have fallen hard. Fair warning, there is a third-act breakup but in my opinion needed to happen for character growth. Don’t worry there is epic groveling. This story had me laughing, swooning and tearing up. The spice does drive the story at first because of the nature of their arrangement but it is hot and well written. I loved Delilah, she was young but strong and knew her worth. I couldn’t help but fall for Cole and feel his struggle to understand his emotions. I really enjoyed seeing them as a couple in the epilogue and look forward to seeing them appear in future books. 5⭐️ 3.5🌶️

I really enjoyed this book. Well written. The author actually seems to know the difference between I/me, he/him, she/her, they/them! A minor point, I guess, but a pet peeve of mine. I’ll definitely read more of L. M. Dalgleish’s books.

It was fine.. it took the mfc to actually get some balls and mmc took about till 86% to start groveling.. things were missing from the story and the groveling needed more. Her mom just became putty in his hands after hearing not to trust a rich man.. like I said it was fine. The sex scenes were good too

I'm glad I found this author. I just quit reading a romance book by another author after a few pages because it was so bad. I was looking for something better. And I found it. This is a character driven story. While the story line is predictable, the author does it with such finesse that it is a truly enjoyable read. The story line unfolds organically, and is well paced. And the book is blessedly free of proofreading and editing errors (a personal pet peeve of mine). This has everything a good romance book needs and should be. I can certainly recommend it!

I am seriously just in awe of this book, the story it told, the characters it had, and the absolutely amazing writing. I am... Oh my god, the relationship between Cole and Delilah was so beautiful, and just so so good! I literally can't think of words that would justify just how much I really love them, and their story. So so so happy this book popped up in my recommendations, and I decided to pick it up. Also! Can't wait for Tate and Ronan's books. They already have my heart! ❤❤❤

Nice and easy to read, steamy, heartbreaking and revenge. I was hoping for the story of Tate even Roman to follow.

Loved it. It is a wonderful story about love and forgiveness. Intense intense intense. Can't wait to read the rest of the series

So hot! Almost too hot. Could have had less sex scenes and a few more details to the story. But overall, a good story. Enjoy !
