I have bought 6 times going on my 7th. They last forever but great present! People think ok, but once they use them, they are amazed! Nice and sturdy. Wash well and go back for more. The leather is thick and very flexible. The swatter is a little short so you do have to adjust. But well worth it. It gets the job done every time. Like I said, you can kill'em in mid air! Mine is about 5 years old and still looks and works like new!

I have owned many fly swatters and these are definitely my new favorites. Overall I have found leather (or fake leather) swatters to be superior in durability and effectiveness to plastic ones, and these are no exception. I was nearly dissuaded by reviews that said the handles are too short. However, in measuring them, they are only about an inch shorter than my older (and more expensive) leather swatter. These have a larger striking area than my older one, which may account for some of their seemingly smaller appearance. While I suppose the handles could be a bit longer, I have no reservations that these will be effective, in fact slightly shorter handles may offer more striking control and accuracy - time will tell. The thing I like most about these is the build quality. The leather (or fake leather, not sure exactly what they're made of) is well stitched and grommetted, and the handles are made from VERY stout wire that will resist bending far better than the older one I have, which is also made from twisted metal, but is thinner and thus more prone to bending after a few swift swings. These shouldn't suffer that issue at all. Bottom line, for the money these cost, they seem like a great value.

Truly the bane of the bugs' existence! After too many shredded fly swatters and too many escaping fly pests, I invested in these leather swatters. They have made quite a difference, and hold up very well. For the last two years there has been an unusually huge number of flies in our neighborhood. Many flimsy plastic fly swatters broke, split, and otherwise came apart in my constant battle, protecting my dog while out in the yard or on the porch. These are truly heavy duty, and a good weight. I seem to be a better shot with them - almost no misses. More downed flies is a good result. Glad it was a pack of two so I have one for indoors too. Can't speak to the effectiveness of the sticky pads for the window. I don't want to deal with the adhesive stuck on the glass when it needs to be changed.

These are very sturdy. If there was a nuclear war that turned flies into radioactive monster flies, I would put these in holsters and use them as my primary weapons. Thick steal handle with leather swatter pads. Very dangerous.
