I couldn't find on Amazon what this was made of, so I ordered 1. Box says it's 7075 aluminum, which is a high strength machinable alloy often used for aircraft parts. This thing is solid, and well and smoothly finished. The flanges are 1/4" thick, 5/8" apart, and just about 4" outer diameter. The hole is 1 3/8" inner diameter. The waist inside the groove is 2 1/2" outer diameter. All these values are a bit approximate because the surfaces are all slightly tapered; for example at the bottom of the groove between the flanges, the drill bit size that most closely fits the curve is 9/16". I can't imagine damaging this thing with synthetic rope! I ordered two more.

I used these to pull out a couple of trees and I was worried that the rope would not stay on the groove. Used with a soft shackle and once you have tension on the pulley it didn't come out of groove. Worked very well. Used with 13mm rope rated for 7k lbs.

But will work well with my SXS winch, which is why I bought it..

Was looking for a lightweight solution to hang 5/8” cable from the ceiling (EV charge cable) and this was perfect. It appears well made and sturdy although my application does not require a heavy load.

This thing is a beast! It’s super compact and easy to use. I use to keep one of those “gated” snatch blocks in my recovery kit but now I just keep this little dude within reach. Just make sure to only use it with synthetic rope, steel line and aluminum roller don’t like each other.
