Skip Hop Baby Rattle Toy, Explore and More Roll Around Rattle, Hedgehog

This was one of our first-born daughter's "first toys" (this, the Taggies Heather Hedgehog rattle, a set of plastic stacking cups, and the Manhattan Toy Winkel Rattle were her 4 "first toys"... I highly recommend all of them). She was an IUGR preemie so wasn't interested in toys until about 4 months (she had lots of tummy problems before then), but once she was ready for toys, she instantly perked up and gravitated to "Mr. Hérisson" (Mr. Hedgehog-- we're a French-speaking household). She LOVES "Mr. Hérisson's" rattle noise, "his" texture (why she has decided that her toy hedgehog is a boy, I'm not sure...), the beads in front, and the TEETHING capability. We LOVE that it's low-tech, has multiple ways for her to play with it, and it's easy to clean even when she's vomited on it for the thousanth time. Now, at 10 months, even though she's "outgrown" her "hérisson" (walking and getting into mischeif seem to be the new thing for her), she keeps coming back to "Mr. Hérisson" daily, especially when she's teething or when she wants to 'show off' that she can keep a musical beat. Even now, when we take her to the doctor or out to a restaurant, it's one of our go-to toys. TLAS: This toy has provided our daughter hours of endless joy (even while getting her vaccines at the physician's office). It's easy to clean for parents. I may only be a first time parent, but I HIGHLY recommend this toy.

Our baby loves to shake and rattle this hedgehog. It’s very easy for him to grasp. Parts of it are softer than others so they are good for teething. My only complaint is that the hedghog can’t stand up on its own because it’s top-heavy, but baby doesn’t mind that.

My baby and I both love this toy. They used it at her physical therapist office, but she was never allowed to really grab it and definitely not chomp it, so we got her one for Christmas. She was 6 months old, and loved it. She immediately grabbed it and stuck it in her mouth like she's been waiting her whole life for it. Haha. We actually lost ours not long after we got it, and I actually bought a replacement. I normally would never rebuy a lost toy, but this was worth it. (This is baby #4 and we've lost plenty of toys, but I can't think of a single one that I've re-bought after being lost or broken) It's not super great for teething, and the top is hard. It's top heavy, so it doesn't stand up. So those are some negatives, but again, I really like it anyways. And my baby adores it.

this toy is a great teething toy and play toy. my 5 month old daughter has recently taken to shaking things very hard and she really likes to do it with this toy. it is easy to grip, the bottom is a soft kind of rubber that is very flexible. she can shake it and it rattles and the beads move around on it. the top is hard plastic that i do worry about her hitting herself with but she doesnt seem to mind. when she drops it and it rolls away she reaches for it and works her motor skills. overall a great toy!

This toy is my daughter’s favorite. We bought it for her at 3 months old, and it has become a staple in her every day. We don’t go anywhere without her ‘hedgey’ and I have considered buying the other colors just in case we lose hers! The rattle sound is perfect, she can grab, pull and lift it to her mouth, and she loves chewing on all parts of it. I will be buying one of these for any baby shower I attend from now on!

Bought this for my 3 month old for Christmas and she loves it. It's easy for her to grab and pick up as she's just learning those skills. Goes straight in the mouth too, lol. A fun toy!

My go to baby gift!

I bought this for our peanut when she was just starting to grab toys around 3 months. She loved it and at nearly 7 months is still obsessed with it. It isn’t annoying sound wise and it’s chunky enough with plenty of finger holes for easy grasping. I will note though that when she first started playing aggressively and shaking it, she smacked herself in the head with it and cried. But, that’s part of development and learning. It didn’t stop her from coming back for more either! Definitely recommend it for friends and as a gift!

The cutest toy for infants/young toddlers.

This little hedgehog keeps my 4 month old entertained for a little bit of time. He loves to try to hold it and he likes to watch it as I shake it lightly and make the beads move. He discovered that the top is a good area to chew on so he’s into that part right now. Love this little hedgehog. I’ve named him Henry 😂 lol

C’est le hochet préféré de mon fils! Nous l'avons découvert chez son pédiatre et l'avons acheté en bleu et en rouge. Mon enfant l'adore, il arrive à l'attraper facilement, il aime le machouiller et le secouer. Malgré d'innombrables chutes il n’a pas bougé, c’est un jouet très résistant. Je recommande.

三ヶ月で購入しました。 友人にオーボールを勧められて購入しようと思っていた時にこちらを見つけて、見た目が可愛いのでこちらとオーボールラトルを一緒に購入しました。 下半分はオーボールと同様柔らかい素材で出来ているのですが、上半分はプラスチックで硬いです。穴に指を入れて掴むことはできますが、オーボールの方が掴みやすそうです。振るとカシャカシャ音がしますが控えめでうるさくなく良いです。シャカシャカの仕掛けのせいで頭側は結構重いので、掴んで振り回すようになったのは、オーボールが先でした。首元(？)についているビーズも舐めたりつまんだりして遊んでいます。 どちらもそれぞれ良いところがあって、どちらも気に入って遊んでいます。

Very good product high quality and easy to clean, just wash with water and soap and let dry I saw that my child grabbed it very easily and loved to play with it.
