Excellent Scoby, very thick. Split easily into 2 jars. Great price for what you get. It was very viable and started to culture a second layer quickly. Within a few days the bubbles formed and it was taking off nicely. Highly recommend.

It came in good condition and had no mold. I made about 10 batches of 2 gallons of Kombutcha with it.

Update: the kombucha company reached out and will be sending me a replacement. Im very happy with their customer service!! If you're looking to buy a scoby this is definitely the company to order from really like the thickness of this scoby and you can definitely tell that it is high quality. I definitely recommend ordering these as opposed to other brands. However, I ordered two of these and both scobys came in exploded packaging.... the starter tea was spilled inside the Amazon box which was a little disappointing. I ended up putting both scobys and the remaining starting tea in a small amount of tea and it looks like they may survive.

My scoby arrived very well packaged with lots of tea.The scoby was an inch thick and looked great.

Scoby was nice and thick, but unfortunately it looked to have exploded. The "inner" bag had on the top corner and the starter tea had leaked into the outer bag. Didnt want to risk the contamination so we had to toss this batch. Pretty disappointed. Not returnable, nor would I mail back a slimy scoby. Undecided if I will try again. :(

The seller was great about providing me with a replacement when I could not get my first Scoby out the bag. So far the Scoby is doing well.

I received a lively scoby already working in transit, as evidenced by its container bag fully puffed with gases on arrival. Left a question and got an immediate answer from the seller and other kind users. I followed the directions using purified water, organic black tea and organic sugar and already have a second scoby from just the first brew, which is delicious on it's own, unflavored, straight from the brewing jar. Bottled that up with fruit puree and am already on my second batch. This is proving to be an easy, enjoyable transition to sparkling beverages that are healthy and affordable. Highly recommend this product.

Looked clean & good in the package when received with small amount of liquid. Started batch of kombucha same day which has failed to ferment. Scoby has not began producing more scoby material nor has it caused fermentation process to begin after 10days. Basically it's a dud.
