We used this product to help filter chlorine out of the water for our kids baths since we didn't have any kind of water filtration system in the house yet. It hung nicely on the spigot of the bath tub and filtered the water as it filled the tub. The product seemed to work as I did not notice as much of a smell of chlorine in the bath water after the tub was filled. My kids were not as itchy either coming out of the water.

This WORKS wonderfully! It gets the chlorine out - I can tell, by the smell and the feel, the difference when I do or don't use this. So I'm very glad to have this! It withstands the water's fast flow - which is fantastic! As I read in previous reviews, sand/grit does come out of it when being used. I've used this around 10 times, and sand is still coming out of it. It doesn't bother me, though, as it sits at the bottom of the tub straight below the filter, and it rinses out of the tub without a problem. The main problem I have with this is the hanging contraption. It didn't hang where I needed it to, so I tried to pull out one end of the snapped-in plastic handle in order to reposition it, and it broke. It's VERY cheaply made (the handle). Once you pop it in, you're not going to move it, unless you break it. So, I attached some textured pony tail holders to hold it in place! (My tub spout is totally curved with nothing specific to be able to latch/hang from.) It hangs great now, and I'm SO glad I don't actually have to hold it myself now!

This product is wonderful for my 2yr old bath time. It fits well over the bath faucet. Love the fact that all the water that flows out of the faucet flows right into the bath ball without over spilling to the sides. No matter how slow or strong the current of water flowing, it never overflows on the side. It's a perfect product that does the trick with our heavy hardwater. The water comes out clearer and my baby's skin is softer. He thoroughly enjoys his bath time more. Before we installed this product, he wouldn't bathe for long. He would just do his business and hop out. Now, he stays in the tub for 30 to 45 minutes if not longer! If it wasn't for the fact that his hands and feet get pruney, he would stay longer, but he still hasn't figured out why his hands get pruney and doesn't like the feel of it. My mother-in-law used this product as a head shower. Granted that it's not meant for that, she wanted to give it a try. Half hardwater came raining down on her (as expected), but the water that actually filtered through the bath ball made a HUGE REMARKABLE difference to her hair and skin! She's a frequent froster with her hair. So her hair was very course, brittle, and extremely dry. After her experience with the bath ball, I was amazed on how soft and silky her hair was after one use! It was like baby's hair all over again. Her hair was flowing, soft to touch, and glowing with life! Really, after so many frosts to her hair, it had a dull look to it. This bath ball made her hair renew with life. I would recommend this product to any parent that cares about what their child's skin takes in. I'm definitely going to give the shower head a try! It's an inexpensive solution to have clean water. It beats the hard, heavy chlorine water running through our house! We can't afford to have our house wired for the filter yet, so for the cost of simple attachable products makes this product worth it!

I was super happy with our Crystal Quest Bath Ball filter until I went to change the filter and found mold! This was our second filter change, so we've had it for about 12 months. We didn't notice any mold at the 6-month filter change. When I reached out to the company directly, I was told "The bath ball is removing the chlorine in the water so if left in an area that is a suitable environment (Humidity, temperature, etc.), bacteria can form since there is no chlorine to prevent it. You can use hydrogen peroxide or bleach to disinfect it, then I would recommend making sure the outside and inside of the housing is dried off after each use." The directive to make sure the outside and inside of the housing are dried off after each use was not in the original manual. When I asked the company to honor the limited warranty, they told me that any exchange/replacement would have to be from Amazon... well it has been almost a year so that's a no-go. We will not be purchasing from this company again, this product is too expensive to be missing care instructions and the company does not care to honor their warranty.

We live in the north and have city water. The water is hard (but not like in the country) and sometimes the smell of chlorine is so strong. The water dries the skin and sometimes makes you feel itchy. Since we put this in, the water feels so much more softer and the smell is not nearly as bad from the chlorine. My skin feels better and my children spend more time in the tub. Since we do not have really hard water or water full of lime I was not worried about the chrome finish coming off and even if it did I wouldn't care because I want the filtering to work on the quality of water I have. I don't care what it looks like. I got the white one for my neighbor and she said it made a huge difference on her child's skin. She always had bumps and her skin was dry and itchy. Once they started using the filter ball the dryness and bumps went away. They tested it to see if they stopped using the ball if her skin was better but it got worse again so they started using the ball again. It works for filtering the harmful stuff in our city water.
