I have not had any problems with this brand. It cheaper than the SSS refill aerosol can. They fit on the SSS cat motion detector unit. I been using the original brand over 20 yrs. I still have couple of the motion detector unit from when I bought them 20 yrs ago. 10 years ago, the unit with the spray was $16, the refill cans were $6-$7. I got them from a sales catalog own by 2 vet doctors. I think Chewy bought them out. The price for the unit started $30, now it cost almost $50. I did buy the other brand the motion detector unit. No problems. When u purchase them the unit sensor & the refill. Write the date u bought it on both & every time u change the battery, write on the unit use a label every time u change the batteries . Sometimes the sensor might not work. Clean it with cotton ball or alcohol pads. Also another to check the sensor, I would shake it lightly up & down & place my hand in front of the sensor. Place your 6 inches away from the sensor, & move your hand in motion, it might not spray if your hand is closer. This helps keep the cats to stay away from peeing, usually along the floor trim. When u need to cover distant space . 2 ft from the other can. Don’t be surprise if your cat walks right between the sprayers, cats are not stupid & they can be a stinker! As example in my situation, in a bigger area space. Like my dining room , I had the sprayers along the trim. Then I found he was peeing under my dining table.. I have a big window, it has a window seat , it faces the front of my house. , I had to use the thick plastic with the spikes lay on top, spikes up. To keep the plastic not sliding off, I had to open the bottom windows to hold the mat. My vet asked if we might have a cat roaming around. Which at that time I did. Even though, in my neighborhood. We don’t have cats roaming around. Once in awhile I will see a cat outside. When my vet told me that. That’s one of the reason the cat will pee. I had one cat I took in. Female, she got fixed. I had 2 other cats at that time. They never peed. When the cat started to pee on our new carpet along the trim, then my 1st cat I had for 5 yrs was having a peeing match. I think there was a cat roaming around, times she did have UTI. It’s very exhausting mentally & the smell. At times I wanted to put her outside. Since I take care of everything, I wanted leave the house. Let my husband deal with it. He never helps me out , just complain. I keep my litter boxes clean . I used 2 boxes. I use litter box liner. And I use the recycle newspaper litter. I change their box every 2 days. I put little bleach & water soak for awhile. Wipe it dry. Every time they did their business, pee & poop I was on top of it. Since I keep up the litter box, I don’t put a lot of litter inside, enough to cover the bottom about an inch. The litter isn’t like the sand grain. But the cat I have now. It’s a nightmare. Horrible! Do NOT buy, it is NOT compatible with the PetSafe SSSCat system. They will not fit correctly in the canister - even though they are advertising that it is compatible. This is a scam, save your money! Hoping Amazon will refund me.

It does what it is supposed to do! It keeps my cat off my kitchen counter!

These cat deterrent sprays work really well. That said, the price is high for a can of compressed air. They don't last as long as you might hope, so you need to buy the refills... it adds up. That said, it isn't a huge complaint. It did the job, and I'm happy with the product overall.

Thanks for this great cat deterrent!! It's works about 95% of the time (keeps my two youngest cats out of the kitchen)! However, both have started to try various ways of getting around the aerosol spray!! They're leaping over the cans!!! I think they're ready to join the USA Olympic High Jump Team in Paris this July!!!🤣

This product is expensive and with my cats it does not last long. I will say it’s a quality product that works well but for the price I’d rather just use a spray bottle.

This does not either fit the spray head, cans are defective or both. Leaks out on three different spray heads from the recommended manufacturer. Constant false triggers and leaking causes the head to freeze. Just a waste of money. This idea is so good, but no one has found the right way to design and manufacture this to work. There are so many reviews of how this doesn't last long, mostly due to false triggers constantly draining the can or just constant leaking. For half this price you could make the product work and make a killing. For now, I hope someone reads this and finds a different way to keep their fur babies away from areas some other way.

Our cat needed a deterrent to stay of the table, its effective in that she walks far out her way to avoid the cans spray. The product in the can is the same, as far as I can determine as the SScat variety, but the price is better. Since the mechanism that sprays is the part that affects the motion detection, so I don't think its fair to judge this product on that. Happy and will repurchase.
