Heaven Official's Blessing: Tian Guan Ci Fu (Novel) Vol. 8

Recently started this series and could not put it down. I caved and bought the special edition on Amazon since it was cheaper and easier to get than the Barnes and Noble special edition. I would recommend this special edition over the Barnes and Noble edition because it comes with way more for your money! The whole thing comes with two posters, a sticker sheet, notebook, double sided bookmark, and all the previous volume full covers on postcards! I was so happy when this arrived in the mail and its beautiful quality :) for anyone thinking about purchasing I would totally recommend! I love Hualian so much (╥﹏╥) Would definitely recommend that you order this with other things too, such as books, because my corners got a little banged up in transit (the box did not have any bubble wrap included), but it’s not that noticeable ;) (I ordered mine with two other books for reference, all books were paperback.) I saw a review somewhere that was dissatisfied with how much of this volume is arc 5 verses extras. By my count roughly 50% of the story is arc 5, which is a decent number of pages to finish off the main story. The extras are awesome bonus stories that function like epilogues - giving insight into Xie Lian’s married life with Hua Cheng. I wouldn’t have minded some more “heat” in the story, but I respect the author’s choice to stick to kissing and innuendo. This is a very romantic tale of true love that stands the test of time. There are moments when people imply that Hua Cheng is like a stalker - and he’s obviously worried that Xie Lian will think so too - but he never crosses that line. He is constantly self-sacrificing and basically unselfish in his love. He’s jealous, but controls that jealousy, especially when asked to by Xie Lian. There’s a belief that real love asks nothing in return - that the object of love owes nothing to the lover. I didn’t understand this when I was young, but it’s true. Hua Cheng understands it, but a stalker wouldn’t, so he’s definitely not a creepy stalker. The cave of 10,000 gods is more like the work of a biographer. :-)

I’m still on book 3, but I wanted to complete the series. It came in good condition, and the artwork inside is beautiful. Other reviews stated it was a special edition, but I didn’t get any extras and it didn’t say special edition on the back so I’m not sure if they just aren’t selling it anymore or what but I’m not too mad about it. I LOVE the extras and will be annotating once I get my grimy little hands on it. I will be buying the hardcover at some point but for now I get to enjoy my beautiful husbands❤️

Literally I LOVE TGCF. The bonus stuff that came are super cute, nothing was damaged. For ppl who like BL but don’t wanna see/read something super explicit(like me), i definitely recommend this series. Yeah it has one sus part(the coffin scene) and some references, but its overall pretty clean for explicit things.

The amazing conclusion to the series. It includes some bonus chapters at the end that are about the characters after the events of the story are over, and really help it feel complete and made me smile so much. It was great to read about the characters being happy after all the drama and hardships they had to go through.

I forced my sister to buy this for me for my birthday, and i'm so glad i did!! This is literally one of the best things ever for a tgcf fan, and totally worth the extra money. All the posters are so cute! I hung up the kissing one by my bed so i can look at xie lian and hua cheng every night while i fall asleep. My mom saw one of the posters and asked who the princess was (she was talking about xie lian) 😭 The little stand thing is also so cute. it took me forever to figure out how to put together, but i think thats just because i'm stupid. this is a great product though, if your thinking about buying it, you should!

Killer plot, fantastic characters, deep themes. This is quality storytelling. I couldn't stop reading it. Finally, I can eat and sleep now.

It came quickly, yet my book was severely damaged, I couldn’t open it without damaging it further. Very disappointed in this.

There was no issues with the quality when it came in. I saw some people say things were slightly damaged but everything was perfect for me. I struggled a bit taking off the plastic wrapping but that was just me. I was also a little nervous I was going to rip things when peeling off the fake back in order to get the notebook out. But taking it slow worked perfect. I think everything is so cute! I do slightly wish it was a deluxe edition with the sprayed edges but all the goodies are so nice 💕 I got this while it was on sale for approx $25.50 CAD so considering everything I got and the quality for everything… it deserves more than 5 stars honestly. I also love the post cards and how there are cute little scenes on the flip side. I just don’t know if could part with them because… well just look at them!!!!

Très très contente des goodies qui accompagnent cette version ! On a un petit standee papier, des posters, des cartes, des stickers... Ça fait plaisir et joli dans la bibliothèque

I LOVE THIS STORY!!!!! I ordered the special edition one and all the freebies were so good!! But I cant bring myself to use the stickers or postcards T^T Anyhow, the story feels so complete now, we finally get a closure to Hua Cheng and Xie Lian's story but i'm not ready to let gooooo yet!!!
