This Just Works
I had a bad case of BGA in one of my tanks and after reading other reviews decided to give this a go. I did a water change an removed the worst of the algae off the gravel and tank walls but it was also all over the plants and bogwood. I then added the first dose and a second dose after 48 hrs as advised on the instructions (mix with tank water and then add slowly) After a few days the effect was very noticeable and within a week everything was gone. I have since added a single dose to 2 of my other tanks as signs were starting and a second dose was not needed. This stuff is not cheap (ยฃ18 at the time of purchase) for the amount you get (small vial of powder) but it works so it was worth the money, I still have a small amount left after 2 doses in a 125l tank and 1 dose in a 450l and 80l tanks but I would not hesitate to order again.

This worked for me!
I was close to stripping down my tropical aquarium as I couldnโt keep the Cyanobacteria away and the tank looked a mess. I was physically removing the stuff daily and wasting money on plants that got covered in the stuff. I tried two other products non of which even touched it! This was a last resort and to my surprise after the first dose there was a massive difference, 48hrs later I dosed again as instructed and itโs almost gone completely. What ever is in this product it does work unlike others. If you are struggling this will likely help you out.

Worked well
This worked well. Had eradicated a lot of it with continuous manual removal but couldn't get rid of it completely. Eventually decided to try this product and it cleared it several months ago and it hasn't returned. Added an airstone and my betta and amano shrimp seemed to tolerate fine. I did notice the GH was higher than normal afterwards so I think it increased that. So would keep an eye on that if it's an important parameter for you.

Does the job effectively
Started to get green blue algae on sand substrate after adding phosphorus remover. Used Ultralife Blue Green Slime Stain Remover on day 1 at 50% of the recommended dosage, it cleared the majority of the algae by the next morning. On day 2 I added 25% of the recommended dosage and that dealt with the few remaining patches. Clean sand and no noticeable effects on plants, rasboras, gouramis, tetras, endlers, amano shrimp or pest snails. Great stuff.

In a nutshell - It works
I had a major outbreak of blue-green algae in a 450 l freshwater tank about 3 months after setup, removed as much as possible but it kept coming back and spreading, found patches growing in more and more places, started to look impossible to control (I was doing all the normal things re: cleaning up organic debris, water changes etc). It also contaminated a smaller tank (90L) presumably transferred on tools. This stuff cleared it up in a few days in both tanks; it disappeared completely from the smaller tank but it does seem to persist in the substrate in a specific patch in the bigger tank (maybe amongst plant roots? It's heavily planted) and I have re-treated every 3 months or so. Can't seem to quite get rid of it but it's under control and no longer a nightmare. No detectable effects on fish or plants. Good product. Incidentally, I have also tried the red algae stuff from Unltralife (similar product, half the dose, supposed to be for marine tanks) because the blue-green was unavailable. It also works fine for FW with the caveat that neither has completely cleaned up the algae hiding in the substrate.

Finally Beat Stubborn BGA in My Planted Tank
I've had ongoing issues with blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) in my planted tanks for years and nothing seemed to work. I was pretty sceptical when I tried this product, especially since my latest tank was completely overrun and nothing I tried before had any effect whatsoever - I genuinely thought it was beyond saving with thick BGA covering every surface imaginable. It took three treatments of this product to fully clear up the problem, but the results were impressive. The BGA is gone, and my plants and fish werenโt adversely affected at all - the BGA is yet to return! I followed the dosing instructions carefully and introduced a powerhead to increase water flow which might have helped too. The instructions warn of the product depleting oxygen levels, but I added an air stone to my planted tank and all was fine. If you're dealing with persistent BGA and feel like you've tried everything, this is definitely worth a shot. Just be patient and consistent with the dosing. BGA gone ๐ชด๐ but now to deal with the next type of algae - exciting times ๐

It work and works well.
Excellent stuff. My tank was being suffocated, and this sorted it out 2 days after the initial treatment. With regard to toxicity to fish, my angels have spawned again today, 3 days after treatment, and I have experienced no losses, other fish are tetras and Corys.

Finally found something that works!
Had some red brown film growing on my plants and sand killing all my plants and making the tank look really gross for about 3 years. Kept having to clean it off constantly and tried different anti algae treatments which never seemed to touch it thinking it was bba. Did some research online and apparently blue green slime algae can be red/brown and decided to give this a shot. 5 days since following the treatment schedule and it all seems to be dying and falling off. Not quite clear yet but it appears to be doing its job. Fish seem fine and perfectly happy still. Still have a lot on hand in case it decides to come back. Glad I bought it as I finally think my weekly cleans of the tank are finally over!!!
