I like it a lot. It wanders a little bit on top of my monitor - but overall the camera is great and the tracking feature adds a little sumpthin sumpthin when in a long Zoom meeting. Very useful phone App for adjusting camera orientation - all the things. I use my own Mic a studio mic. But image quality is top tier. The desk shot captures more of my legs than i want. Haven't figured out 100% to capture what I'm working on with my hands but it can be used to film tabletop work as a B-Cam

If you are just wanting better picture quality for your remote meetings, this is way overkill and I love it. However, if you are looking to use the hand gestures and PTZ tracking with this camera, its completely dependent on lighting conditions. In a well lit office setting it works perfectly. Zooming in and tracking perfectly. However, if you are in a dark room, or if your room is lit with RGB lighting these added features completely fall off and are unusable. I have full RGB lighting in my office because I'm dumb, and even if the room is well lit with RGB, the camera cannot track me and refuses to respond to hand signals. Same thing if the room is dark, only being lit by my monitor. So the key to success with this PTZ camera is lighting. Not the end of the world, I kind of assumed this. But for some users who have streaming setups with lots of RGB, its something to make note of. I now have a lamp that produces a more natural light and even in my RGB home office, the camera now responds to my hand signs and can track me more accurately. Simple fix, just get a normal light/lamp.

For six glorious months, everything was fine, flawless even. We were one with each other, finishing each other's sentences, swiveling and following my every move like a demonic shadow. It was awesome. Then it developed an existential crisis. Now it crashes without warning, paints everyone in shades of pink like a failed avant-garde art piece, and occasionally communicates only in error codes. Or chose not to communicate at all. And before anyone utters the sacred words “user error,” let’s establish the facts: -I’m on a Mac. It’s compatible. -Internet is hardwired, 2 5G and 2.4Gz networks were connected in diagnostic testing for process of elimination. -No system updates have plunged other devices into chaos. -The mic works—until it develops sudden stage fright. -The camera freezes mid-sentence like it’s seen something unspeakable. -What I’ve Tried (A Tragic List of Futile Rituals): -Disabled hardware acceleration like an attempted exorcism. -Uninstalled and reinstalled everything—twice, for good measure. -Not a Discord or Google Meet issue—I tried two other machines (one Mac, one PC). Both behaved like civilized technology. This one alone chose violence. -Used the web version through Chrome (latest update, naturally). -Purged Chrome’s soul: cache, cookies, history: all gone. -Tried Safari, because desperation breeds bad decisions. -Double-checked every permission like a lawyer preparing for trial. -No VPNs. Firewall behaving. -Repeated the Chrome cleanse just in case it required further absolution. And no. No summoning circles were performed within the electrical radius, so unless the circuit’s haunted, it has no excuse for acting possessed. In summary: It works beautifully… right up until it decides to join the void.

This picture is a screen shot of video footage from this webcam - the footage was recording with the free OBS Studio program. And mind you, it's in 1080p resolution because my monitor is maxed out at 1080p. I also used two 10-inch ring lights and a two other lights for enhancement. I've used a few 1080p webcams in the past and this is the first and only 4k webcam I've used. This by far is the best webcam I've ever used thus far. And you can see in the pic the image quality is very crisp and clear with no graininess whatsoever, unlike with most webcams out there. I've never personally owned a dslr camera, but many YouTubers are comparing this camera to a dslr camera in some respects. That's one of the reasons I took a chance on this webcam despite it being pricier than other 4k webcams. I did a lot of online research and watched a lot of YouTube reviews comparing different 4k webcams. Out of all the YouTube videos showing footage of the different webcams, I thought this one looked the best out of all of them. I'm very pleased with this purchase to say the least. I personally didn't care too much about all the extra fancy cutting edge features like ai tracking, etc. I was mainly interested in the best quality video. But all those extra fancy features are definitely an awesome bonus that I think I may end up using as well in future videos. I highly recommend this 4k webcam.

I use it as a webcam. I like the quality of the picture and most of the time the hand gestures work, most impressive is the quality of the video. I did not do any setup, just worked out of the box, I have another webcam as well, and sometimes this new webcam gets confused when using Teams and Zoom. I would recommend this camera, the price is a bit steep for me.

The 4K resolution on this camera is fantastic, and it handles varying lighting conditions like a champ. However, the AI tracking feature can be hit or miss—literally. More often than not, it fails to recognize me, so I end up stuck in one position. If I manually try to adjust the camera, it sometimes goes on the fritz and shuts down. It’s a shame, because when it works, the picture and tracking are impressive. Hopefully future updates can iron out the quirks, but for now, it’s just okay.

Great camera, great size but basic problems with AI tracking. So basic that you can’t even be bothered hitting up support. Tracking breaks leaving camera either continuously refocusing or focusing on something other than you. Needs more software technology investment. Giving it 4/5 because I believe they’ll get it right.

Ich habe die Insta360 Link (PTZ 4K Webcam) nun seit einigen Wochen täglich im Einsatz – hauptsächlich für Homeoffice-Meetings, Präsentationen und gelegentliche Videoaufnahmen. Hier ist mein ehrlicher Eindruck aus der Praxis. Erster Eindruck & Lieferumfang Die Kamera kommt gut und sicher verpackt an. Schon beim Auspacken merkt man, dass es sich um ein Premium-Gerät handelt. Die Webcam ist überraschend kompakt, fühlt sich durch die verbauten Materialien sehr wertig an und der integrierte Gimbal bewegt sich butterweich. Im Lieferumfang ist neben der Kamera das passende USB-C-Kabel, ein USB-A-Adapter sowie eine Halterung für den Monitor enthalten. Die Einrichtung lief absolut reibungslos: Anstecken, Software installieren und es kann losgehen. Praxistest: Das Highlight Die Bildqualität ist schlichtweg mega. Egal ob bei hellem Tageslicht oder abends bei schummriger Schreibtischbeleuchtung – der Sensor holt extrem viel heraus. Das Bild ist gestochen scharf und die Farben wirken sehr natürlich. Besonders gespannt war ich auf das KI-gestützte PTZ-Tracking (die automatische Verfolgung). Wenn man sich am Schreibtisch bewegt, sich mal zurücklehnt oder vor dem Monitor aufsteht, schwenkt die Kamera geschmeidig mit. Man bleibt immer perfekt im Fokus. Was mir im Alltag aufgefallen ist (Pro & Contra): Hervorragende 4K-Auflösung: Knackscharfes Bild, bei dem selbst Details im Hintergrund oder auf Kleidung perfekt zu erkennen sind. Starke Low-Light-Performance: Auch ohne professionelles Ringlicht bleibt das Bild rauscharm. Zuverlässiges Tracking: Die Kamera reagiert präzise auf Bewegungen und hält den Nutzer zentriert. Intelligenter Privacy-Modus: Nach einer Weile Inaktivität klappt die Linse automatisch nach unten – ein großes Plus für den Datenschutz. Kleine Schwäche bei schnellen Bewegungen: Wenn man sich mal sehr abrupt bewegt oder schnell durch den Raum huscht, kommt der Gimbal manchmal nicht ganz hinterher und braucht eine kurze Gedenksekunde, um den Fokus wiederzufinden. Fazit & Empfehlung Wer beruflich viel in Video-Calls sitzt, Präsentationen hält oder Wert auf ein erstklassiges Bild legt, macht hier absolut nichts falsch. Für den normalen Schreibtisch-Alltag und dynamische Meetings ist die Kamera perfekt. Trotz des kleinen Kritikpunkts bei extrem schnellen Bewegungen ist die Gesamtleistung – vor allem die Bildqualität – absolut top. Klare Kaufempfehlung für alle, die das nächste Level für ihr Homeoffice-Setup suchen!

Good camera, but doesn't fit on my benq rd320u monitor which is 5cm thick

Ottima webcam. Funziona su praticamente qualsiasi software per le chiamate (Skype, Zoom, Teams, Meet,...). La funzionalità di tracking agisce sul volto, ma anche sulla persona intera. La gestione PTZ (Pan, Tilt, Zoom) permette a chi presenta di muoversi liberamente (in questo caso megli usare cuffie BT per l'audio)

I a very happy that I paid a little (a lot) more for this webcam. Everything about it is excellent.
