120 Sets - Brass Grommet Eyelets 10mm 3/8" Inside Diameter 800# with Setting Tool for Canvas Curtain Leather DIY Projects (3/8", Mixed)

I made a blaze orange poly top for my hunting blind out of fabric that I ordered on Amazon. Needed a way to fasten something on it so that it could be tied off to the tent (bought from Amazon also), and this set was just the trick. Did exactly what I needed it to do. The Grommet eyelets themselves are pretty thin and flimsy, but did what I needed them to do. The price was also nice and the whole process was pretty easy.

I'm so upset. I opened this up and the box was completely broken. It will not close so I ended up losing a bunch of pieces. The inside cubbies are broken. They is plastic pieces mixed in. Everything got mixed. I don't even know how many pieces I'm missing now. This was so disappointing.

I bought one of these kits and used it up and just bought another. I didn't count the original set. I'm not planning to count the new one (just too tedious). I didn't count the number of uses I had. But I'm pretty sure it was closer to 300 than to 400. I ended with over a dozen of the larger part when I ran out of the washers. I'm quite sure I never lost nor doubled a washer. So the original counts didn't match. In addition, I used the hole cutting tool on ordinary cloth backed by soft wood. That ought to maximize the life of that tool, but it wore out (too dull to continue using) less than half way through the kit, and I had to switch to a different hole punch. The finished results were fine (unlike the one cheaper eyelet system I used years before, whose results fell apart). So I'm not thrilled with this product. But even if it was really just 300 (not 400) I still can't find a better price/unit online. So when it ran out, I bought another.

It's a great little set and worked well, but I needed just a teeny bit larger grommets, so I gave this set to a young friend who is designing and sewing sweatshirts and tops for her friends. This suited her perfectly, especially since it had various metal colors to choose from.

I would say these are a good quality product but the size is inaccurate. The ones I purchased said 5/16" (7.95mm) and the product I'm using them for has 8mm holes, so if they were accurate it would be good to go. These, however, are 8.2mm, making them too big to fit in the holes. So I either have to buy new eyelets or grind out all the holes. If you're using these with something with a little give then these should work great, as they seem to be good quality, which is why I rated them as high as 3 stars even though they're completely useless for me.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This grommet making kit works well and there is a good variety of finishes to choose from. I made a few grommets on scrap material first so that I could be sure of getting it right on the banner I wanted to hang. Trust me, if you haven't used one of these kits before, you'll want to practice first. There's nothing wrong with this tool, but it does require some basic motor skills. I'm happy with it.

So the first star off was because the punch tool was truly terrible. It was sharp for only a couple holes in a soft material. The second was that the eyelets were entirely too narrow for purpose; if you've used this sort of eyelet before you know that the fabric will start fraying quickly and you need the width of the rim to cover the fray completely but these just don't. But the third and forth stars were lost because the "pointed tool" as they call it was actually narrow enough at the base that the eyelet will slip all the way up. It actually just doesn't spread them at all, just pushing straight down. May as well just use a hammer. I thought I had received the wrong one in the case, but it was marked with "600" on it the same as my order. I'm sure it has some other useful purpose and "innetoc" just repurposed an existing product, but it's useless here. I didn't take points off for the box being mixed up, that's par for the course. I also didn't take points off for the store page having multiple different numbers of how many eyelets were in the box. I just thought that was funny. All told: useless, difficult to install with provided tools, and the maker has seemingly no idea how many are being sold.

Needed eyelets for a small project to secure rain cover over my tomato seedlings on my portable green house. The eyelets come in three different color coded size gold, silver and gray. The install tool is included in the eyelet set all you need is the hammer. The eyelet set is simple to use and does a wonderful job

This is very good value, I thought I was already put review,sorry too late. Since I bought this, all my friends have been looking for me. It is so convenient and many of them don’t use it.

Excellent set for odd jobs. The hole punch needed some fine tuning (sharpening) but, honestly, for this price....excellent little kit.
