Don't let a Corner Mechanic Install it. He/She will say it's the wrong one. It's not! These Cabin filters, the good ones anyway, are meant to be of, snug tight Fitting for several reasons, it also explains this in the description and of course some of the negative reviews. I am a GM Licensed Mechanic and for the Price and Quality, you cant go wrong with this product. Product is tight for a positive and more filtering of small ion size particles, including Cigarette Smoke. Hardest part is getting the old 1 out. Yes its a tight fit. If it were a loose fit, well then you'll have excess noise, do to vibration, escaped particles and more frequent changes. Tip: Patients. Spray a thin coating of fast dry Silicone Spray, to the inside of the compartment, in which the filter(s) goes in, also a thin coat around foam seal of Filter "ONLY", will improve the installation of this product and insure proper fit and seal. All other products that are similar to this 1, w/foam seal around them, are of O.E.M. Standards for Quality and Fitment. This product is priced low compared to others and the results are Instant, including air flow when installed properly. It took me 2hrs, but it was a customer who had issues and a filter that i was intimidated by removing it, because of live activity 🐜🕷. They say to replace every year, heck i haven't replaced my cabin filters for years, or until the odor or lack of air circulation. 2hrs because it was a Z71 with a center console and secondary wiring for added components. I hope this helps you guys, not only in quality of product, but most importantly, saving you Time & Aggravation. Note most 2003 Silverados Early Models, Do Not Come With Cabin Filters. You have to buy the conversion kit, which is just a door that comes with filter for about the cost of the filter itself, but it is a time consuming process and you must have or possess mechanical training and a Dremel or equal. 👍😎✌

DO NOT BUY. They dont fit! The foam on the edges seems like a good idea, but it causes them to not fit. If you force them in, then they bend (which causes a gap for dirt/unfilitered air to go through). They are even harder to remove. I threw them in the trash and bought some (without foam) form the local auto parts store.

First filter was snug but went in no issue, 2nd filter was tighter and squished in on its self, got it in for the most part after a couple mins of messing with it wont buy this again personally not a fan of the fit but better than the old dirty ones... fast shipping and no damage

I ordered a cabin air filter for 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD. The one sent is a few mm too large and will not fit.

Fit in the slot, air blows through and hopefully it filters air.

Seems like good quality and was an exact fit for my 2000 GMC Sierra. The instructions didn’t apply to my truck however.
