These are perfect containers for small snacks, lunch side dishes, or sauces and dressings. I love Lock and Lock, since I know they are durable, easy to use, and won't leak in a lunch bag or hiking pack. They can be submerged in a cooler of ice and water and won't take on any liquid. Great purchase!

Love Lock & Lock - ALL OF THEM. * These were on sale , and although they are different sizes -ALL THE LIDS ARE THE SAME SIZE ! I love it. No more confusion trying to find the correct - sized lid. I might buy another set just for that reason.

I recently organized my pantry. I was looking for something airtight to keep my baking supplies in. I originally looked at the OXO pop top containers. They are cute for setting on your counter but I could barely buy one medium size or two of those for the same cost as what I pad for the whole set of these. My baking supplies used to be on the top shelf of my pantry, and I had to get the step stool each time I needed flour, sugar etc. Now that I am baking on a regular basis, I moved it all down to a lower roll out out shelf. I already had some of these which helped me choose what size I was buying based on the ones I already have. I really like that everything in this set is the same size. It is very easy to stack them. I have a label maker that I have made labels for each one, it goes on the lid because of this shelf is below waist high. The nice thing is if my bag of chocolate chips is only half full, I can move it to a smaller one, and use the bigger one for a new bag of peanut butter or white chocolate chips, etc. The really nice thing is I just switch the lids and I dont have to move the labels. The ones I currently have are at least 15 years old I believe. I have put them in the dishwasher all along. I don't use the heat cycle, but I am guessing these would be fine on the top rack, especially in the newer dishwashers that dont have a heating element for the dry cycle. Even after all these years, they are all in great shape, none of the little wings that bend down and make the lid secure, have broken off. These are as airtight as any other container you will get. I plan to buy one more set of these, and maybe a couple a little bit bigger so that every thing on my two baking shelves are uniform. I will not be giving up my OXO pop top containers, and replacing them with Lock and Lock containers, but anything else be eliminated.

THese are great Lock-n-Lock containers, and are serving as clean dry Geocaches for us. But... they're smaller than we wanted, and it's very hard to judge from the pictures and description, as the seller has done a great job hiding the dimensions. No pics provided with ruler or other known object for perspective. Measurements only provided in metric, which while useful, doesn't provide any perspective when we Americans have to look up each value to see how to translates to inches. And since this is the American Amazon website... that's inappropriate.

Nice set of different sizes for a variety of uses. I've used these for craft items, first aid supplies, and diabetic supplies. Keeps items secure and dry. Good for food too. Nice for travel to put needed items.

I love to bake and I have a baking cabinet. I don't put my baking supplies in my pantry, so the size of the containers I need matter. These are the perfect size for all the loose little packages that take up space in the cupboard; I always have a lot of those from the raisins, poppy seeds, specialty sugars, leftover nuts, cranberries, etc. I bought larger containers for flours and sugars, that you can see in the pictures, however they didn't fit in my cupboard two deep (only side by side). So they took up too much room and I needed the smaller ones for my small baking items. My baking cabinet still needs a lot of work but it sure does look a whole lot more put together than it did before, wish I had a picture! One thing that I didn't take into consideration when looking for storage containers is that the top of the lid is wider than the bottom of the container. That messed me up as far as being able to put the larger and medium containers two deep, and that's what brought me to these containers, which now I can stack depth wise with my other containers. I used the medium containers, that wouldn't fit with the larger ones, for my pantry items. Win!! As you can see in the last picture, I still have items that need to be in containers to keep their freshness longer, so I ordered another set!! I put these in the dishwasher the day I received them, on the top shelf, and they did great. I did not buy these to use in the refrigerator, freezer, or the microwave so I cannot comment on that. I bought them solely for dry goods and I am beyond pleased.

I really like Lock & Lock storage containers, but this one was extremely misleading. There is no sense of scale to the photos and what you get are very, very small containers. They would be great for a lunchbox - but forget storing anything of size in your refrigerator or pantry. These should be advertised for use in a lunch box or at least pictured with items for scale. Or maybe I should just look at the description more closely - I don't know. In any case, they are the same excellent quality that Lock & Lock has, just for very small amounts.
