This works with all of the hard drives that I have floating about from various computers that I have had. This only works with 3.5” hard drives. Luckily I was able to access the data from my last computer. My previous Sabrent 2 drive version seemed to have given up the ghost. This item is a very good replacement to that item. Would recommend. Data recovery is fast with the use of USB3 connectivity. The hard drives don’t seem to get hot. The item is silent in use I suspect the flap that covers the hard drive deadens the sound. Good value for money. A compact and well designed item.

The docking station worked seamlessly with both my computer and the old drive I was externally connecting. It was very straightforward to install the hard drive in the dock, and I was easily able to fully back up 2 TB of data. The enclosure is sturdy, and I like the transparent cover as it allows me to easily see the drive that's inserted. Overall I am very pleased with this product as it performs as advertised and at a reasonable price point.

No issues with delivery as arrived in good condition and on time. On opening the box the item looked good, but the lid felt plastic when using and this I felt should of been metal or hard plastic. The item worked well when drives were inserted and used, with the speed being good, however the smaller drives were a bit tricky to release from holder but this could be down to my large fingers. I would still recommend this drives as made life easier swopping my drives except took a bit longer with small ones. Other than that this is an excellent product and well worth getting if you have extra drives you need files from but don't need sitting in your computer and as you do not need to use screws, just open lid insert drive into it then plug into a Usb port on you computer which makes it easy to setup, install and use. Recommended.

delighted with the drive, updated the firmwire as advised on the web to format bigger drives and its been working really well for me, fast enough through my USB 2.0 slots and drive doesnt get too hot in the chassis. Really happy with it.

I was so glad I'd backed up hundreds of totally irreplaceable photos when my old pc packed up. I could just connect the external hard drive they were backed up on to my new computer. What I then DIDN'T think to do (muppetry of the highest order) was back them up again! Subsequently the Iomega external drive they were on failed. My wife & I were devastated - photos of our grandchildren's earliest years, weddings, holidays, Christmases just gone. So much so that we contemplated sending the broken drive to one of those data recovery companies - although we know the cost is often enormous. I read up on the problem & wondered if the drive really was done for or maybe it was the power supply to it. An electrical tester showed the supply cable was fine. I'd discovered that the sealed (they are sealed - no screws - no easy way to open them) cabinet would just contain an interface & a standard SATA 3.5" hard drive. I thought maybe if I could get it out of the cabinet without damaging it, I could fit it in my pc but was told you can't. I didn't know about docks like this. As a last resort before shelling out hundreds of pounds for professional help, I bought this dock. After very carefully breaking open the cabinet on my "broken" hard drive I detached it from the interface card & (praying) slotted it into this dock. The dock powered up the drive immediately & within minutes had rescued all those precious memories. A wonderful simple device it connected to my Windows 11 pc faultlessly just as it purports to do. The best £28 I've ever spent. The drive itself is solid & well made of decent materials. Furthermore, not only has it got me out of an awful situation, it was obviously only the interface that had failed so the dock has given the 1TB Samsung drive a new lease of life for just £27.99. Suffice it to say I have created multiple back ups of my important things now! Whatever you need this quality product for, I'm sure it's simplicity of use & great results will impress you.

Product was easy to use and works perfectly. Provided easy access to both 3.5 and 2.5 inch hard drives.

Although the title says SSD HDD Adaptor, it will only accept SATA hard drives. Fortunately that is what I had, and it works well. If you want an enclosure for an SSD drive, this is not for you.

The size is reasonable, and it is not too difficult to insert or remove a 3.5" disk. So far not had any indication of any failures (but only been using it a few weeks). The two issues I have with it is that it does not allow access to the SMART data for the disk, and when I do remove a disk from the disk from the unit the disk is so hot that it is uncomfortable to handle. Since I cannot read the SMART information on the disk so I cannot say what the actual temperature of the disk is, but whatever it is it cannot be doing the disk much good.

The dock does its job perfectly well, with two small drawbacks. 1. As it is connected with an USB cable, there are several systemic limitations in operations one could perform with an HDD connected on a SATA port, but this is unavoidable 2. The HDDs are getting quite warm and there is no ventilation or any other cooling mechanism whatsoever; a wee fan would be useful. Overall, the device looks tidy and professional, and does its job (already deep-scanned like 20 disks - no issues encountered), so 5/5 stars.

Si vous retrouvez des vieux disques et les utiliser, vous devez les placer dans un ordinateur, avec cet appareil vous pouvez directement les utiliser , sans montage, il suffit de soulever le couvercle et de placer le disque et allumer. Les transferts de données sont rapides, il fonctionne à la perfection sous Linux.
