Front to back cover this book is amazing..the illustrations alone are so vivid & gorgeous and the pages are thick & glossy as well as providing an abundance of information! Anything and everything you want and need to know..even things you didn’t realized you wanted or needed to know are provided in the over 400 pages! I don’t often give 5 star reviews anymore but this one deserves it and more! From the cover, binding, pages, illustrations and information…excellent quality. The authors, editors and illustrators done a remarkable job! I will enjoy and learn from this book for years to come. Whether you’re a beginner in your backyard chicken journey or a seasoned expert I believe we all can benefit from having this in our arsenal. Absolutely recommend.

Very informative great book
This book is awesome. We recently got chickens this past year not knowing much about them and purchase this book a few weeks later our kids love looking at the pictures of the chickens that we have and learning more about new chickens. This book is very helpful and identifying different types of chickens, and how they may act with your family if you have small children. Also, as well as give great information that you might not have known before.

Must have for chicken lovers
I got this for my daughter’s birthday because she just got chickens, this book is THICCCC. There’s a ton of great artwork and it’s super informative, 10/10 buy

Gorgeous Book
Although this book doesn’t have all the information a new chicken owner may need, it’s absolutely gorgeous and has so many beautiful pictures, chicken history and other interesting chicken facts. I love showcasing it in our little ranch.

This book is nice to have on hand
This book tells you about the various breeds of chickens available. I wouldn’t say all the breeds are in there, but you get a really good idea of what information you might be looking for. It is convenient to have it in book form versus only on your phone

Just what I needed!
I'm planning on getting a small flock of chickens this year, for fresh eggs. I honestly didn't know anything about raising chickens before I bought this book! When researching books, I looked at the Table of Contents, and read all of the reviews. I found this book to include all the information I needed. I am very happy to have all the information in one book! It is very helpful to all people who have, or thinking about raising chickens!

Still love this book
I bought this book over a year ago and I still enjoy it today. It packs in a great deal of information (even a primer on chicken-inspired art!) The information is perfect for a someone new to chicken keeping. That said, if you are a pro, you will likely enjoy this book for it's abundance of beautiful photographs. After all, chicken people love looking at chickens...

Review for condition of book only!
This is a beautiful book for new chicken keepers, and chicken lovers alike! The pages are so thick they are practically card stock and there are full color graphics and double page photos throughout. Along with helpful info, diy projects, and even a chapter on art, which as an art teacher I really was impressed with! My gripe is with the conditio the book arrived in. I got mine on slight sale, but it was indicated as a new book. I got a damaged book, and had I paid $50, I would have returned it. I like to keep my books pristine, and this didn’t even arrive in that condition. Creased (hard)cover, liquid damage throughout, and a gouge in the back cover. Not ok!
