This is a fantastic way to trellis plants-feel sturdy enough to use for years
These make trellising my tomatoes very satisfying. If past years I’ve used twine to tie my plants to stakes. This is much easier, and I like how I can wrap the plant around the string as it grows. It took me a few attempts to figure out the best way to use these. Here is what I learned: 1. Hang them over the plant from a cable or line above where you want the plant to grow. Unwrap enough to hang down to the soil 2. Find a large section of the plant with firm branching a few inches above the soil. Clip the string into the bend of the clip while ensuring it also clamps around the plant directly under the branching portion 3. Adjust the length of the string so that it is taught but not so much that it will cause damage. I did this by wrapping it around the base of the spool. 4. The final step if to maneuver the plant around the string in a wrapping fashion. This way the entire plant is being supported.

sturdy, flexible
the clips are great - they "click" right in place, and are easily removable and replaceable. the stings are great - they're holding up my huge tomatoes well, not a single one broke or snapping off. This is through gushing winds, and despite the fact that the pipe holding the lines has bowed significantly due to the weight of the fruits. (I will have to replace them with wooden poles next year) the hooks are great - so far no rust (only used for one season), and very sturdy, without any give or bend. Overall, great purchase! I need way more clips than the 20 provided here, and got cheaper ones but do feel the "you get what you paid for" with the cheaper ones. These are great. I will look to see if the seller sells the clips separately. btw, they work great on cucumbers too.

Better than cages !!!
Love these for their ability to keep my tomatoes from wandering all over my garden. Strong twine, held up my10 foot loaded tomato vine, effortlessly. Great value, long twine, would have been able to go twice the length I used it for.

Good Idea Not so practicle with tomatoes
Good Idea Not so practical for all plants. We tried this process with our tomatoes and cucumbers this year. It worked great with the cucumber plants but the tomato plants got to big and heavy and pulled them down. Guess it all depends on your plant sizes or weight. We did like them in the initial process of training the small plants.
