The product looks neat and does the job but only for a limited time of use. The unit I bought, I have used it a couple of times then was put back in its bag. After a year or so when I took it out to use it again, noticed that the battery would not hold charge which means the unit is unusable. I was not alarmed at first thinking that Ecovacs would replace the battery since it should not be a big issue for them, but I was wrong as they have swiftly evaded and refused to help pointing out that 1-year limited warranty was just over. Doing a quick search around shows similar complaints all over. Probably this was a faulty or a poor-quality selection of parts when they designed the product. The battery is custom and is connected to power cord and cannot be easily replaced by the user. For me this Ecovacs experience was just like throwing 350$ in the garbage.

I have the Ecovacs Winbot W1 (I understand that there is now a W2 version out?). This product does exactly what it says - and then some. Connection with the app (I use an iPhone) was exceedingly easy, flawless, and almost instantaneous. The app can control anything and everything that this product does. And what does it do? I read many reviews and there are so many superlatives used that it seems to deaden the senses to their usage and makes me wonder about their authenticity. Nevertheless and with that having been said, this cleans our glass windows, doors, and glass porch guardrails/walls a) well to very well (8 or 9 on a 1-10 scale, 10 being perfectly spotless and strapless including the corners); b) automatically and unattended more than 90% of the time (every blue moon it gets stuck and requires my (almost always just) remote attention, and c) in a reasonably short amount of time (one side of a 2 meter by 1 meter glass door, 2 passes over the entire surface in roughly 10 or so minutes). Once one is familiar with it, setting it up is exceptionally easy to do, and using it entails: a) plugging it in (5 seconds); b) adding water to the sprayer (30 seconds); c) attaching the tether (5 seconds); d) placing it against the surface to be cleaned (3 seconds); and e) pressing one button (zero seconds) - and walking away. That's it. It is hard to find something about it NOT to like. When recently (due likely to a fault of my own) I needed some assistance/service help from the company, they were amazingly rapid in their review of my issue (a few hours) and then addressed my concerns so very very far above and beyond the call of duty or industry standard for customer support" - especially as this issue arose after the warranty had long since expired. I cannot find enough positive things to say about the product as well as the company. I want to ensure that I clarify that I have NO financial - or any other - "relationship" of any kind with Ecovacs, I paid full retail for the product which I purchased from Amazon, and I use this device personally in my home. I can't count the number of items I have reviewed in my life - but this device and especially this company deserve special positive attention and note. Thank you Ecovacs, I had not heard about you two years ago but today I am the one making sure others hear about you. Well done!

Piece of crap. Bought less than 2 years ago. Did its jobs the first summer. Although not improseed but its automation (always had to stay nearby and superwise) and quality of work on non-rectangular windows (there are some limitations). But it made recntangular windows uniformly clean, no gaps and no start or end visual markers. Not sure if we used it the next summer. If we did, maybe a little. Now attempted to use it again. Connected: it just says 'Please connect to power source' again and again. From what I learned in internet, battery probably died. It seems it was a single use toy for $350+. Likely, we could hire a professional for this single time use, and save our own time.

I got this as there are a couple of near impossible to clean windows in my house. (The house dangles over a ravine, so getting the outside of the ravine facing windows is...not very doable for those who value their lives.) Over time, they've gotten pretty grimy, so I got this, hoping it would work. And it did! The machine is pretty easy to use. Charge it a bit (it has an extra battery just in case the main power dies, so it doesn't go flying off a window), plug it in, tie it's teather to something, then stick it on a window and hit the on button. Then off it goes, rolling across the window and cleaning everything in its path. So easy to use and a great gizmo if you have hard (or impossible) to clean windows. I did knock off a star as the machine seems to get "confused" a lot and sort of not clean the entire window. This isn't a huge problem as I was able to just run it again, but kind of annoying. It also sometimes "lost suction power" and refused to move (at which point I had to haul it across the window by tugging on its tether and power cord), and it also sometimes refused to return to its starting point for some reason (which again necessitated me dragging it over). It also annoyingly kept bugging me to install its app...even after I'd done so. (Why, machine, why?) But it ran without it being installed so....IDK. But it works. Crazy as it seems, it really works. My windows now are clean, which is something I never thought I'd be able to do. So very much recommended if you have hard/impossible to clean windows. This little gadget does what it says it'll do.

This is the only robo item I have in my home (no robot vacuum or mop), so I can only speak to this specific product, but these did work quite well on my windows and was incredible easy to use. I found the app lacking but the connectivity was always there. We have built in blinds and on the upper part of the window where the housing is for the blinds to go up into, it would constantly get stuck which was really annoying, but if you needed it for an xl window, hard to reach, not upper housing, not too many windows, I still think it would be worth a shot to try it! It worked great on the bottom half of the panes and never just lost suction and fell off. Overall I’d probably buy this again, but it isn’t a quick process to get all my windows clean. It also cannot charge and clean at the same time.

I downloaded the iPhone app and followed the setup instructions exactly. However, when attempting to use the unit, it repeatedly displayed the message: **“Please connect to power source.”** The robot was plugged in and had already been charging for several hours. I assumed it might need additional charging, so I left it plugged in overnight. This morning, the issue continued with the same repeated message. I then searched online for help and discovered this appears to be a common issue. Many other customers have reported receiving units that did not work properly right out of the box. I contacted Ecovacs customer service and explained the situation. After troubleshooting, the representative confirmed the robot is defective. However, I was then told Ecovacs would not take responsibility because the product was purchased more than one year ago—even though it is brand new out of the box and clearly defective. I was advised to send it to a third-party repair service at my own expense, which I found extremely disappointing and unhelpful. I understand Amazon has a strict one-year return/exchange policy, and I respect that. That said, I would expect the manufacturer to stand behind its product—especially after confirming it is defective and when this seems to be a known issue affecting other customers. To be clear: I am not asking for a refund. I simply requested a replacement unit that is not defective. Unfortunately, Ecovacs refused. Buyer beware.

I have to confess that I wanted to love this automatic window cleaner. It’s incredible how it holds on the window and cleans all areas of my large slider door windows. My problem Is that it leaves streaks and when you think of it, how wouldn’t it leave streaks. The machine sprays clean water on windows and the pads just spread the dirt throughout the window and cleans up some of the dirt, but there’s no way for the pads to eliminate all the dirt. I love that this saves me from having to clean the large slider door windows manually, but when I see streaks on the windows, it’s very disappointing. This happens when I used a new clean pad, so it’s not that the pads need to be cleaned. If I could return this I would, but it’s already beyond the return window. Wish this worked as described.

Es muy facil de usar, y deja los cristales limpios sin esfuerzo. Tengo vantanas altas y de imposible acceso por fuera para limpiar sin el uso de escaleras muy altas y/o recurrir a personal profesional en la limpieza de ventanas. Queda de más en decir que los vidrios estaban extremadamente sucios y solo requirio 2 ciclos de limpieza profunda (con lavar el paño del entre los 2 ciclos) y quedo como nuevo. Lo único, es que deja algo de suciedad como 5mm pegado al borde del vidrio que no alcanza, puedo vivir con eso... Pros: Rápido, sensillo de usar, la App permite dirigir el robot donde requiere uno al final de la limpieza, programación de punto de partida y regreso, programas de limpieza, muy buena calidad de fabricación. Contras: un poco ruidoso, cable un poco corto, me salio con un defecto (2 spray no sale agua, uno de cada lado) y por eso solo las 4 estrellas, procedo a devolución pero para comprar de nuevo y espero que ahora si al 100.
