Hakko C1390C OMNIVISE PCB Holder Stand with 4 Settings

I decided on the Hakko over the generic brand and I am very pleased with this product. I use it all the time, for holding PCBs that are too small for my rotational holder.

Really, really solid and heavy, which makes it great when you only have a small corner of a PCB to clamp. Really adjustable. The top surface is large enough that you can even use it to rig up probes in some cases (though that’s probably not wise, it’s nice in a pinch) Highly recommended, wish I had bought 3 of these sooner rather than wasting money on all of the cheap flimsy PCB holders I purchased over the years

I just wish I had 2 because some times one isn't enough for some larger boards but this is great for any PCbs that are about switch sized.

These things are heavy and rock solid. They're really helpful, provided you have enough surface area on a corner of your PCB to secure them. Though not mandatory, two are better than one. Kind of pricey, but everything I've ever tried that Hakko makes is a quality product, and this is no exception. You get what you pay for.

I have no prior experience with these, so I don't know exactly what they're supposed to be like, but mine arrived with the upper circular "jaw" unattached from the lead screw. It was oriented properly, but the rubber coatings on the jaws had formed a pretty tight bond with each other, to the point that it wasn't obvious that they were actually two separate pieces. (I considered the notion that it was an incredibly bad counterfeit.) Once I decided that they must be two separate pieces, it took a small prybar to get them unstuck. Then I had to attach the upper jaw to the lead screw, which meant removing the E-clip on the screw, putting the jaw in place, and then replacing the E-clip. (E-clips are no fun, but I managed not to shoot it across the room and lose it.) I've attached a video showing the out-of-the-box state of the vise, other than that I had already unstuck the jaws from each other. Honestly, this thing is too expensive to be this simple and have assembly defects from the factory. At least it was easily fixable.

This is heavy for it's size and simple to use with a large threaded screw on top for clamping pcb's.

Very good for small pcb boards . For bigger need 2 of them
