Soldering Iron Kit, 100W LED Digital Solder Gun kits with Ceramic Heater, Adjustable Temperature Welding Tools with Tips, Wick Braid, Stand, Solders Wire, Sponge, Flux Paste

I bought this because I am teaching myself how to solder and desolder using an old mechanical keyboard. This iron comes recommended as a beginner inexpensive soldering iron. This worked wonderfully. It does plug in, so you have to be near an outlet to use it. It heats up quickly and it gets hot enough to use lead-free solder. It is light weight and narrow, so it isn’t too bulky for my short sausage fingers to manipulate. I like the grip on it, it was nice for when fatigue started kicking in. The LED panel for heat is blue, which isn’t my favorite, but it is legible and large enough. The buttons are large and obviously labelled. Very minimal instructions, however you get the gist. I would recommend watching a few YouTube’s before starting, though. I specifically bought one that would be useful for electronics and jewelry making, because that is likely to be the majority of situations I would need to use it for. The stand it comes with is functional, but I would suggest maybe getting a better stand if you think you’re going to be using this a lot. Solder paste worked, but I have nothing to compare it to. Same with the wick, although I feel like there might be better wicks out there - just a feeling. I used 2 of the tips (trial and error) and they worked nice too. It heats VERY quickly and it cools down quickly. I paid a few extra dollars for the green one, because it’s a nice green and I like looking at it more than the blue. - with the three dollar upcharge, it is worth it. Sometimes it’s the small things like having to look at a color you like vs. a color you don’t for 3 hours that make that extra bit of difference in a long job. All in all this was a good little machine to learn soldering on! But if you’re looking for a new iron as a replacement and you’re not a beginner, I am sure you’d want something a little more sophisticated. 10/10

I haven't purchased a soldering iron for a few decades, at least since Radio Shack was still around. So, I was very pleasantly surprised by the convenience of this. You can dial in the temperature and it heats up much much faster than I expected. It seems to have a lot of power for its size too. So, maybe I'm naive and just haven't kept up with soldering iron technology, but this is delightful to me.

Works great for a beginner! The adjustable heat with temperature is extremely helpful. The flux paste and stand with sponge are ok, but not as good as the iron. It is very easy to knock the iron over on the stand, as it's just a piece of thin metal you bend yourself. Overall I'd recommend this, but do keep in mind you'll probably want a different stand and some different flux depending on what you're using it for.

I love this soldering iron. I was skeptical at first based on the price. But, pleasantly surprised. This baby heats up quick and makes soldering wire a breeze. I've used it on ceiling fan wiring and automotive wiring repairs recently and it has not disappointed me. It would be even better if it had a plastic case to hold everything.

It’s been 55 years since I regularly used a solder iron. Back then I had a 30 w and then upgraded to a 40 w. I thought I had found light speed. When I recently needed to use a solder iron mine were a bit old and worn out. I bought this 100 w iron thinking it might be better and I couldn’t believe how great it was. If only I could travel back in time with this iron. My work on CB radios would have been so much faster. It’s great.

Has a lot of extra tips. Heats up fast, and worked great. Definitely look up working temperatures for tips, it can get hot enough to destroy one.

Very cool little set. The quality seems great. I've been using it for installing threaded brass inserts into 3d prints. It's perfect for that.

It really didn't heat up the old solider in my guitar very well, but it did heat new solider so 50/50
