Nice companion to Subway Art.
This is a nice companion book to Subway Art. There are a TON of pics from the golden age of NYC graffiti in here and is well worth the money. Whether or not you liked having graffiti on subway cars in the 80s, it is a large part of New York City history. This book not only provides a photographic record of an era that is now gone, but also provides a great inside perspective on the artwork. I recommend this for any true New Yorker.

Just missing some Manhattan-based artist
Brings back great memories of the NYC I grew up in. Used to take the #1,2,3 trains between the 40’s and the 80’s. Didn’t see much coverage in the book of the artists “West” or “Risk” which would have been nice. So glad to have bought this book. Should be more coverage of street graffiti in the future (I know I’d buy)

Sehr gutes Buch!!! Die Qualität der Fotos ist super und es wurden überwiegend "gute" Graffitis ausgesucht (es sind kaum "Toys" zu finden). Ein paar Interviews mit Writern lockern die Bilderflut auf 176 Seiten etwas auf. Also ich kann dieses Buch nur empfehlen, da es sehr interessant ist und zu den besten Büchern dieser Art gehört!!!
