Great hydration pack, except.....
This is a great minimalist hydration pack for trail running, Obstacle Course Races or any medium length outdoor activities. I bought it for an 8+ mile Spartan Super Obstacle Race. It fit well, stayed secured due to the chest strap and I noticed very little sloshing of the water in the bladder. Please note I followed suggestions to hold the bladder upside down and remove excess air from the bladder before inserting it back into the pack. There was ample space in the pockets for gel packs for myself and a other couple runners. The profile was low enough that it never got snagged on any barbed wire. It was very comfortable and I hardly noticed it on my back during the run. I also bought the Camelbak Big Valve Bite Cover to keep the valve clear of mud, muck and other debris encountered on the course. The cover worked like a charm. My only complaint is that the pull tab/string for the lower outer storage compartment broke only a few miles into the race the FIRST time we tried to access it for some gel packs for a cramping runner. The string just broke from the black tab and it we had to tie it back on several times as trying to open the zipper with muddy/wet hands can be an obstacle in itself.I would have given it 5 stars for overall quality and usability, but the pull tab breaking THE VERY FIRST TIME using it was somewhat of a disappointment since Camelbak is known for great hydration packs. But it is a great pack overall nonetheless.

Good enough
This is my first hydration pack which I purchased for use on hikes and music festivals. It works great, EXCEPT for the fact that the straps chafe the middle of my biceps when I wear a sleeveless. I go on 1-2 hour hikes and 6-7 hour festival runs which of course takes a toll after a while. I was thinking of wrapping that particular area in something softer but no ideas yet.The small pockets are great for holding my phone, wallet, as well as gum and mint containers. Purchasing the (~$5) Big Bite Valve cover is a must to keep the spout clean. The tip about holding the pouch upside down to removing the air is great, I'm glad I read the reviews beforehand. Placing the pouch back inside the bag was a bit of a challenge though and I wish it was a little easier.

Awesome hydration pack
I chose this hydration pack for my weekend long runs which last up to 3.5 hours. I must say it is the perfect size for amount of time since I am usually just about empty once complete. It is well constructed and everything works as advertized. It would have been great had CamelBak put the quick release fittings on the hose, but I have not had a reason to remove it yet. If you don't want to hear any sloshing noise while running, hold the bladder upside down so the trapped air is right at the hose and suck the air out of it, no noise what-so-ever after that. Pack fits well and is very comfortable, and like everyone says, you hardly know you have it on.I would recommend this pack to anyone looking for an intermediate size hydration pack.

It's a nice product
Bought to use while cycling, the tube is a little shorter than I would like but over all it is a great product. It's replacing an older version of the same and I like the new design of the filling cap (my last one began leaking)... The pockets great for holding my iPod and running the headphone cord out...Me Likey...MarkOdellPhotos.com

Excellent!
This is an excellent purchase. I would have liked a second cross clip, since the one around the chest moves up towards the neck, which needs sometime to get used to. Never the less, the product, its material, and after using it a few times, I am extremely pleased with the results. I use it for long runs, and I have tried filling it with water and with Gatorade, I think water is a better option, while the Gatorade gave better recovery time.

perfect for running
convenient, durable and perfect for my runs. It fits perfectly and I have not experienced any problems or leaks in the few months that I have been using this. I also bought a bite valve cover with this and I would recommend it for anyone looking to buy this. I would wish it came with this pack but it is a small flaw I'm willing to overlook for the overall quality that this product had.

Great for weekend bicylce rides
I looked at a lot of review before choosing that product.I use it to bicycle ride around 15miles/90 minutes on week end with my daughter in the back seat. This is the perfect size for the water content, and it can hold her pouches for a snack, as well as a telephone and an ID.it is light, easy to fill and to empty/clean.It stays well in place with the chest clip.Perfect for that use

small and light,love it!
Agree with most of the 4/5 stars reviews, small and light hugs tightly behind my back....mestanding at 1.7m, weighing 62kg I found this camelbak an excellent product...my first hydration pack and I love it.Be it price or quality it meets my expectations. But then I finished the 1.5l of water before I finished my 15km. ...anyway I give it a 5 stars!I certainly do recommend this product .
