This was great for using on my labradors paw when he had to have a claw removed. We bathed his paw daily and then used this powder to put in his waterproof Pawz foot cover. It stopped the latex sticking and I’m sure helped his claw heal quicker once the bandage was off.

Love this product. One of my dogs, due to previous mistreatment, has a horrible skin problem which he sometimes chews on no matter how hard I try to prevent it. I put this wound powder on it as soon as I see it and within days it has scabbed over and there have been no infections. The best thing is I do not need to give him antibiotics which, unfortunately like all medication, make his skin problem worse. I also had to use it recently on one of my cats where his claw had started to penetrate his pad. Unfortunately this was not noticable until he started lifting his paw constantly and did not want to put his weight down on it. I was able to cut the claw and put the wound powder on the pad allowing it to heal with no sign of infection, in fact by the next day he was putting weight on his paw again and was a much happier cat. I would totally recommend this product to anyone with animals to have handy, just in case.

I always use to have some of this in years ago for my first pony, it's wonderful stuff. My young horse Solomon came in from the field with a could of small cuts on his chest (not bad ones) I gave them a dose of wound powder, it coats the wound straight away and it heals in no time at all. I only had to put it one once for it to have massive effect. really good stuff and should always be kept in stock by horse owners.

..we live in an area that has sharp flints in all the fields, so our labrador succumbs to a tiny shallow crack on a paw a few times a year. Not at all deep enough for stitches but a bit uncomfortable. This powder helps the wound heal in no time. Tracks and paths around our area are quite chalky, so a bit drying for paws, especially in dry conditions. A little 'vaseline' or 'mushers secret' followed by a sprinkle of this powder keeps paws healthy on the pet. Have also used the powder on our guinea pig's paws...it healed a bit of dry paw skin, in no time. With many many years of having pets, we have gained the experience of knowing when a small ailment needs home treatment or vet treatment. NB There is a shelf life on the powder but it is a long shelf life, this larger container of powder we purchased early 2014 expires Jan 2016.

Reminds me of when I used to scrape my knees and elbows and basically almost every inch of skin that I had and mom would practically bathe me in this white magic powder. It’s great at stopping bleedings- not heavy bleedings though.
