Yeah I just set it up and it works fine. Agree there could probably be better instructions but it won't hold you up for long and I guess there's always YouTube if you're that stuck. Sets the target temp for my office just fine on my a/c. Also does scheduler if you're that predictable but I'm not so I don't. Geo-fencing I'm not going to pay for but it seems to turn it off if you leave home. I see the point but no that's ok thanks. So that's it.

Having air-conditioning in an apartment I now rent out to pay the mortgage, it is important we have ways to give great service whilst also being able to control costs and keep the property maintained. These devices have helped a great deal. They were really easy to install and have functioned really well throughout. They give us updates and graphs of the temperature in the property amongst other things. Highly recommend.

Seems to work seamlessly. Only downside is that you can't activate it with an automation in Apple Homekit. Such a shame as this option would make it perfect. For now we have to manually switch on and off which is not cost effective. Wifi connectivity good. Firmware updates take a long time, easy to use and silent

Tado is garbage. Avoid. Connection always drops, heating is on overnight without registering our settings. Doesn’t work offline. Do not buy

Firstly there were quite a few problems with the installation. I have a large Tado system, completely up-to-date and working perfectly. Adding the air con controller went smoothly up until a point and then froze at the point of pairing the new device. I had to shut it down and restart twice. Another weird thing is that the air con controller appears as a separate room on the Tado app. Yet in the Apple HomeKit you can place it in the room group (eg living room) without any problem. Conceptually this just doesn’t make sense to me for the two to be different. The stand is very disappointing. The unit is not fixed to the stand. Instead you slot the power cord through the stand, wedging it in to secure the unit. Not good for the connector long term and not a good solution overall. A really disappointing (shoddy) implementation in my opinion. I have Tado heating and I’d hoped it would display one setting for temperature in the room with the Aircon. I’d hoped to be able to set a temperature causing either the central heating or air con to be used accordingly. Unfortunately the air con and heating are not integrated and appear as completely separate entities in the app, each with their own temperature reading of the room. This feels inconsistent and not at all well thought through. For example it’s quite feasible to turn on the central heating and air con together in the same app. How Tado can think that’s environmentally friendly, I’ll never know. In conclusion the unit does work well with Tado and the aircon works also. Just remember that they recommend choosing an air con where there is a display on the remote, thus making it compatible with Tado.

Once its setup, it works but its a B****h to setup and the UI is not logical at all....

I bought this because we use Tado for our heating, and for that it works well. However, once you schedule the AC, even though you are telling it to kick off at a certain temperature, it just turns it on regardless of the temperature. So now I can schedule and run the AC from my phone but I still have to do it manually. The installation was a pain, it wouldn't connect to the WI-FI until it decided it needed to update the firmware. I will be returning it.

Me parece una ingeniosa solucion si la instalación de tu aire acondicionado no tiene wifi. Finalmente controlas la instalación desde tu movil con una aplicación muy sencilla y facil de instalar. El modulo base se sincroniza con el mando a distancia y todo se pone en marcha desde el movil. Es cierto que tiene un par de aplicaciones de pago pero lo basico es libre. Estoy satisfecho con la compra. Además lo compré en oferta a buen precio.
