I slapped these two sticks of Crucial Pro RAM into my Dell 5820 and bam it was like watching an old dog suddenly learn calculus. What once took forever now snaps to attention like it’s auditioning for a Mission: Impossible montage. My workstation went from “Let me grab a snack while it boots” to “Oh, it’s already done?!” Installation? Easy. Almost suspiciously so. Like, “Am I forgetting a step?” easy. I seated them, booted up, and the system just worked. No BIOS drama, no RAM speed negotiations. Plug, play, and productivity. These DIMMs support 3200MHz, but they'll happily scale down if your system wants something a bit more "vintage" like 2666MHz or 3000MHz. My Dell was like, “Yeah I’ll take that 3200 goodness, thanks,” and ran with it. Smooth as butter on a hot SSD. No RGB, no frills just clean, pro-grade performance. Like the RAM equivalent of showing up to work early, doing the job perfectly, and leaving without asking for a raise. Verdict: If your computer feels like it’s powered by spite and cobwebs, toss in this Crucial kit and watch it transform. (Warning: You may feel slightly betrayed by how long you waited to upgrade.)

I switched from a "gamers brand" to the micron memory for it's known reliability, and quality. I have had zero system stability issues since switching to this ram. The capacity is a little less for the money but reliability is far more important. These are narrow and install easier then models with big ugly coolers that step all over each other, and they run cool in my system. They don't have the flashy LEDs so don't look as "cool" in the system, but, again reliability is more important. For my systems I will be going with Micron memory.

I will touch on two aspects of how this RAM can be utilized: gaming and multitasking. As a gamer, the 16GB of CL15 Samsung RAM this set replaced was faster. But I only had access to 16GB. That's good, even for gaming standards. However, the upgrade to 64GB wasn't for gaming. And let me be clear: even with a slower CAS (CL) of 22, this RAM performs beautifully. I do not push games that heat my room to 90+ degrees, but a few that exhibit higher frames and smoother gameplay are Rust, Grounded, Sims 4, and Forza Horizon 4 and 5. And last but not least, Flight Simulator. It flies! Sorry, I couldn't resist. I purchased this kit for multitasking. And as a builder, I have come to rely on Crucial but will buy name brands with better value if I save money. Unfortunately, the silicone shortage had me buy a system a couple of years ago. And this RAM pairs with the Lenovo Legion T5 well. Where it shines is by running virtual machines, Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) 2, Windows Subsystem for Android [Kindle], and multiple browsers handling multiple tabs each. Not to mention also handling YouTube, Spotify, VSCode, OBS Studio, Microsoft Teams for Business, Discord, WhatsApp, GitHub, and Hyper-V across multiple workspaces with ease (across three monitors). WSL2 also gives Ubuntu 32GB, versus the previous 8. Virtualization is more stable, and my productivity isn't hampered by compiles and repository updates. I am extremely happy. Yes, this set is a tad slower, but there is more of it. I have never upgraded past 16GB, and since the 64 was just shy of $25 more than the 32, I capitalized on the sale. I have no regrets. This RAM delivers speed and reliability—gaming and otherwise. I recommend it without hesitation. Update (10/10/2023): Three months later and this RAM is still dominating all tasks I throw its way. Memtest still says it's purring along nicely, and going from 16 to 64 GB was the best decision I ever made for my productivity. VSCode absolutely loves it. Compile times are way down, too. I'm extremely happy with this purchase. Thank you, Crucial for a stellar product.

Works As Advertised

Crucial always makes relatively solid, good looking kits of RAM, and this kit is no different. It's good in gaming, and is fast enough to keep up with the rest of my system. Much like any other DIMM, these are wickedly easy to install and use, and I find that the heat spreader on them is a nicely refined appearance. I care a lot about stability when using EXPO, and this kit has been extremely stable for me. Crucial delivers a solid kit once again.
