Review: Wonderful book with good exercises - It's a really good book with wonderful exercises but uses Faber Castell pencils -- which I don't have, so I had to get the CPS conversion leaflet to use my Prismas for her exercises. I like the exercises she gives, all the hints she supplies -- but it is a lot of work. But after a week of slowly going thru, the lesson #1 series (there are several sub lessons to each major lesson) I have seen major improvement from my first day..and I had just used CPS from the Prismacolor Project series #1 Botanicals. Thanks to her and that series I bought the other two courses in the series and am thinking I just may end up being good at this after all...She so inspired me I got the Hidenari Kobayashi book for once my Prisma coursework is done and never to continue with my studies!..and it all started with one course from Prismacolor on Botanical drawing. Funny how that is turning out. I recommend this either alone or in tandem with the Prisma series. Review: Worth the Price - Fourteen lessons with clear objectives, beautiful examples, enough information per lesson without being too much. Each lesson has sample drawings to complete by copying the completed colored object using the lightly outlined objects in the book. This allows the learner to concentrate on shading and color application techniques rather than the drawing techniques of perspective & proportion. Very well conceived and carried out instructions.

This is the book I’ve been looking for!
This book breaks it down to the bare basics, you do the drawing in the book to learn! The pictures are great and explained so well! I’ve learned more from this book than any of my pretentious colored pencil books and you know the ones I’m talking about, I’m so happy I found it!!

Great for increasing your colored pencil skills.
I love this book. Great for a beginner or intermediate. The pictures are fun and some quite challenging. By doing the practice pictures you are increasing your knowledge and skills with colored pencil. I would recommend this book to any artist.

Colored Pencil Drawing for Beginners
This is a great book. So many great things to learn and exercises to do to help you learn. And there are drawings included that you can do. I highly recommend if you are just starting out with colored pencils.

2 minor criticisms
This is a nice little book, however #1, it is not a "drawing" book. This book teaches you how to USE colored pencils with various helpful exercises, but on pre-drawn images. #2, the author/artist exclusively uses Faber-Castell Polychromos and a couple of Holbein colored pencils, both expensive and refers to which pencil number is used in each project. So, if you don't have these particular brands you will have to try to color match with what you use.

Pushing her brand of pencils
I don't like her book as it just gives numbers to the pencil that she uses. Then you have to hunt through your colored pencils to find a similar color. This should be a just color because it is for beginners

A beautiful book
I haven't done any of the lessons yet, but I know they will be fun and informative by the parts I looked at. I'm very happy with this purchase. Thank you, Seller.

The worst coloring guide for beguinner
I thought it was going to be a good guide for beginners. I dont recommend this book at all. It does not explain how to develop technics for several complex drawing like the cat, the bunch of flowers, etc. It just said apply color here and there and shading where it is necessary. In many drawing you have to guess what to do. Draawings are ok. Please be honest with people, Dont do books just to fill your pockets.
