SmartyPants Kids Mineral Chews: Magnesium Citrate & Calcium Supplement with Vitamin D3, Vitamin C, K2, Zinc & Selenium for Immune Support, 60 Count (30 Day Supply)

First, the chews are a mouth full for a small child. I cut one in half for my daughter. The taste is ok. It does leave a vitamin after taste but my daughter likes them nonetheless. My husband and I have noticed that she is less likely to have a tantrum on the days I give her the chew early (with breakfast). I heard the review about the mother dealing with ADHD in her child. I completely agree. While I don't believe my child has ADHD, she does have a full blown tantrum once per day it seems without these chews. The vitamins and minerals must be what her little self needs. Great product, highly recommend.

Chewable, softer than Starburst. Individually wrapped just like Starburst. Flavor is good, not as sweet as Starburst but close. Just so you know--these have calcium CITRATE. Typical vitamins like Flintstones or One A Day have calcium CARBONATE (including Citracal--the name is misleading and refers to the citrus flavor, it is not calcium citrate). Calcium citrate is easier to digest. It is also suitable for bariatric patients (bariatrics cannot digest calcium carbonate). These should be taken 2 hours before or after taking iron vitamins. The only issue I have with these is they're SO much like candy my kids want them constantly and I have to really monitor to make sure they don't ask for too many.

We love smarty pants so I was pleased to see a multi-mineral supplement available. Non gMo, 3rd party lab tested, hard-to-find micronutrients like magnesium and selenium...what’s not to like? For one, The flavor is, well, minerally. The kids and I were expecting gummies, but I get why that might be problematic with a high mineral profile. The chews are just okay- tasting. Not horrible by any means, but not delicious like the smarty pants Gummies. Also wish they had included a little iron for my super picky kids, but I can’t imagine that would be an easy taste to mask!

My 6 year old son was diagnosed with ADHD in early March of this year. Collectively, the doctor, my son's father and I decided to try other options before a prescription drug. I read reviews of this and other supplements. He started the Smarty Pants Mineral Supplement a few weeks before starting the SP Complete Gummy Vitamins. I thought I noticed a small difference with just the Minerals. After he finished the bottle of Kroger brand gummies he had always taken, he started taking both products -- the SP Minerals (at supper) and the SP Vitamins (at breakfast). We are not quite a month in with him taking both. Last weekend, a hair stylist who had not seen him in 4 or 5 months and did NOT know he had been diagnosed nor did she know about the two SP products he was taking, gave an unsolicited comment on how CALM he was. He actually sat and read a couple books he had brought along while I received a trim. The weekend before that, his paternal grandmother also commented "He actually SAT on my lap!!!" In the last couple weeks, he has been receiving verbal and written praise from his teachers (instead of ME receiving emails and phones calls). When his Kindergarten teacher told him recently that he did a "fine job," he told me that it made tears run down his cheeks! My sweet, sweet boy has more self-awareness and is PROUD of himself. There is nothing better than that!

We give these to our kids periodically and definitely notice a difference in moods. They tend to have less mood swings and rest better when using these mineral chews. They also enjoy the flavor.

These are awful...We love the Smarty Pants kids complete omega 3, fish oil vitamins for our child with ADHD and had read that a magnesium supplement might be beneficial as well so we tried these. First off, our child has no problem taking the others, they are way smaller, easy to chew and the taste is pleasant..these however are a different story. They are large and rectangular (individually wrapped) I had to cut them in half for him to get through it and the consistency is totally different, very hard to chew as I tried them myself. We both got the worst stomach ache after eating these. The taste is off putting with an unpleasant after taste, my child was hard pressed to get through 1 and I certainly could not do 2 ! Also, if your child doesn't need help with bowel movements this may not be the supplement for you, it makes them poop...a lot. Since my child needed no help in that arena, it was too many trips to the bathroom for him! We will just look for magnesium rich food for him to try, these are too hard to ingest and digest.

The nutrition and value is good. The bottle is full and they are easy to chew. They are like soft chews. Harder than bubble gum but softer than like a starburst. I did like that were individually wrapped. Would be each to put in a lunchbox. But the taste....I tried them first. It was a metallic bitter like taste. Not unberable for me the adult. Even though I did have to wash it down quickly. My 12 yr old attempted ( he eats anything not bolted down) and he took two chews and asked to spit it out. So now I have a very full bottle of good minerals but NObody will touch them 😒

Love the amount of Magnesium and other minerals in these supplements. I feel my son is more focused and calm and notice the difference in him when he is not taking his Smarty pants.

The price in Amazon is better than iherb. My twin boys love this vitamins very much that nutritionize them.

My kids don’t like it.

Not appropriate for little kids. Very hard to chew and very bad taste. My 4yr old son refused to take it. What a waste of money.
