I wanted to put in some downlighter spots, did the job well, just make sure you use a drill with a clutch, or grip your drill well because if it sticks you feel it whip round on you, that's not down to this, it's simply the nature of the job using such tools if you are not square on into what your drilling.

Brilliant

I bought this 90mm HSS bi-metal hole saw cutter for jobs where a normal drill bit simply looks at the task, gets nervous, and asks to speak to management. This thing turns up with big circular energy and gets straight to work.I was recommended this brand as I had used a similar one, but larger with a few of my old mates in Hatton garden on a job in 2015. Went through concrete like a hot knife through butterI have used it on the usual DIY suspects — wood, plastic, UPVC and similar materials — and it cuts cleanly without making the whole job feel like a wrestling match between me, the drill, and questionable life choices. It feels sturdy, bites well, and gives a neat finish when used properly.For the money, it is a solid bit of kit. I am not saying it made me a master tradesperson, but it did briefly give me the confidence of someone who owns a van, knows what SDS means, and says “measure twice, cut once” before immediately measuring three more times out of fear.Would I buy it again? Absolutely. Five stars for cutting big, tidy holes, feeling well made, and making DIY slightly less like guesswork with electricity attached. A useful, good-value hole saw that does exactly what I needed.

Worked as described. But quality was poor broke after two uses.

Done the job with ease

As far as holesaws go it's good, but not super long life, depending on the material. The spring is a gimmic - do away & if stuck, drive a screw through the cored piece (nearish the middle) and keep going - timber pops straight out. (For lots of rough cuts Tungsten tipped might be a better long term option)

Not a great quality. It is a cheap version and even though the description says it is good for plywood, the box that where the saw arrived has a label that says "drywall and plastic only". I bought it because of the description said it was good for plywood. Anyway, I had only two holes to drill, and I managed to do it.
