Easy to Use, Durable, and Looks Amazing!
I used the Rust-Oleum 369383 Advanced Dry Door & Trim Paint in black to repaint my front door, and Iโm beyond impressed! The application was super easy, even for someone without much painting experience. It goes on smoothly with great coverage, and the quick-dry formula meant I didnโt have to leave the door open for hours. The finish is beautifulโsleek, rich black with a professional look. It made my front door look brand new and added instant curb appeal. Plus, itโs held up great against weather and daily useโno chipping, fading, or peeling at all. For the price, the quality is outstanding. It feels like a high-end upgrade without the high-end cost. If you're thinking of giving your door or trim a refresh, this paint is a no-brainer. Highly recommend!

Works for walls and furniture with one coat
As a first-time homeowner, this was my very first time tackling a major painting project. I was honestly terrified of using red because everyone warned me that it requires four or five coats to look decent and always leaves streaks. I am so glad I spent a little extra on high-quality paint instead of the cheap stuff. It made a potentially frustrating DIY project incredibly easy. โHere is why this paint is absolutely worth it for beginners: โWhy It's Great for DIYers โOnly Took Two Coats: I was preparing myself for a weekend-long nightmare, but this paint is thick and premium. It covered my old beige walls beautifully. The first coat looked surprisingly solid, and the second coat made it absolutely perfect and uniform. โNo Messy Splattering: I was worried about ruining my new floors, but the consistency is excellent. It didn't splatter or spray all over the place when I rolled it onto the walls. โThe Perfect Shade: I wanted a red that looked rich, cozy, and expensiveโnot bright like a fast-food restaurant. This color delivers. Itโs a deep, vibrant red that looks sophisticated in the morning light and incredibly cozy under warm lamps at night. โNo Harsh Fumes: I don't have a ton of ventilation in my space, so I was worried about chemical smells. This paint had almost zero odor, and the room was completely usable by bedtime. โWhat I Learned (First-Timer Tips) โTip: Invest in premium painter's tape and take your time prepping. Because this red is so rich and vibrant, you will notice if you accidentally bleed onto a white ceiling or baseboards. Also, buy a high-quality roller napโit makes this paint go on like butter. โFinal Verdict โIf you are nervous about painting your home or picking the wrong red, start here. It gave me the exact high-end look I wanted on the very first try and made me feel like a total DIY pro. โHighly recommend to anyone looking to add some personality to their new space!

I recently used Rust-Oleum 369384 Advanced Dry Door & Trim Paint for a home improvement project, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the results! This paint has exceeded my expectations in terms of coverage, finish, and durability. **Application:** The application process was a breeze! The low odor formula made it comfortable to work with indoors. **Coverage:** I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent coverage this paint provides. A single coat was sufficient for most areas, but I applied a second coat in a few spots for added durability, and the finish was flawless. It adhered well to both wood and previously painted surfaces without any issues. **Finish:** The satin finish is exactly what I was looking for. It adds a beautiful sheen to my doors and trim while maintaining a clean, modern look. The paint has a professional appearance that has elevated the overall aesthetic of my home. **Durability:** After allowing the paint to cure, I noticed its impressive durability. My experience with Rust-Oleum 369386 Advanced Dry Door & Trim Paint, Quart, Satin Nantucket Navy
I was very hesitant to purchase this particular product, but it was the ONLY brand that came even close to my color choice of dark (almost black) navy. When the two quarts of paint arrived, I let them sit there for three or four days. So, the day finally came when I was ready to see what we had. I had read so many not-so-great reviews about its consistency, clumping nature, bad odor, etc. and since we're under construction here, I don't have money to waste. I opened the first of the two cans, I was slightly disappointed at first because it was lighter in the can than I expected it to be, but there weren't any bad smells, no clumps, no hard rocks of paint, there was just blue liquid paint that looked like it might be a bit watery. I stood there looking at it for a minute and I figured that since I had opened it, I might as well give it a try. Let me tell you that I was sooooooooooooo pleasantly surprised by this paint. First of all, it's thin, but not drippy at all. It smells like regular paint to me, and I've always liked that smell. It glides onto my doors like frosting on a cake. It definitely will take at least two coats to get good coverage, maybe even three, but if I use three coats, it's only because I started painting on a medium minty green door and it's taking a little more paint to cover up all that hideous green. I said in the beginning that I wanted very dark navy, and I am positive that three coats will definitely accomplish that for me. I'm actually painting two doors that are exactly alike. I've put two coats on one of the four sides and only one coat on the other three sides. I've only used about half of the quart so far. I'm being very generous with the paint so that's not why it's taking three coats to cover. I think the thinness of the paint is what is requiring more coats, but I don't mind. If I was having to paint a whole house and not just two doors, I would maybe consider another brand of paint, but I'm not even sure about that because I'm really pleasantly pleased with this paint. I'm having to wait a couple of days between coats because we live in the swamps of Louisiana, and it's always damp and muggy here, plus it's too hot to paint during the day and mosquitos eat you up at night. It's an ongoing battle. I plan to get it all finished at some point in the coming week. The only reason I gave it 4 stars for durability is the fact that I haven't had it on the doors long enough to determine its durability. I also would like to say that the color of the paint (after 2 coats) is exactly the navy color shown on the can. It's gorgeous! I am truly sorry to those of you that had hit or miss results with the paint. I would have been very, very upset if my paint had arrived in the same condition some of you described. Michelle

The best! Itโs slightly thick but not quite as thick as some paints. Itโs easy to use. The finish is smooth. The glow is slightly shiny but not glossy. It adheres to the project perfectly and professionally.
