Excellent book, but too out of date.
There is a lot of very useful information. The book covers everything in detail and is easy to understand. However the book is based solely on GX Developer which is long gone from use. In spite of that there is considerable crossover material relevant to GX Works 2 so I have certainly learned from this.

Below expectation
I was expecting further expanded programming. This was very limited and did not basically give what was in the original description. However, it is still useful in some areas.

For GX developer ladder based PLC programming this book cannot be beaten. For low level programming to highier data registers etc. This book is perfect. 10/10

Brilliant book for all levels
When it comes to Mitsubishi FX PLCs, John Ridley's book is the only one you will need for a long time. This book can be used as the basis for a 'teach yourself' training course for the FX. It takes the reader from first principles to some of the advanced instructions. Also, if you are already using other PLC languages and trying to learn mitsubishi PLCs you will save yourself ages with this book.

Great introductory course for the new PLC programmer. Great teaching aide for instructing maintenance technicians. Highly recommended for the beginner as well as the savvy veteran.
