Also, it’s well-made… good quality brush material, soft, doesn’t shed, and is easy to hold. It’s a must-have for next-level results when self-tanning! I recommend using a mousse or lightweight tanning formula; first apply (to one area at a time, such as a leg) using a tanning mit or glove; then IMMEDIATELY use the brush to distribute product evenly in problem areas, such as around the knee, and then continue blending product throughout the entire leg until it appears completely absorbed into skin, is evenly distributed witj with no dark areas, and appears dry and even in color. (it’s similar to applying makeup to your face with a Kabuki brush) The “Vita Librata” brush is superior to anything I’ve used before, and it helps produce a more even and professional-looking tan with no obvious dark spots! I ordered this Vita Liberata pyramid brush mainly to use with fake tan on the face (which can be tricky to get even), but I’ve also ended up using it for foundation and bronzer as well. I wanted something that would give a smoother finish without leaving streaks or obvious lines. First impressions were really good. The brush feels quite premium straight out of the box. The bristles are very dense and soft, but still have enough firmness to actually move and blend product rather than just spreading it around unevenly. The shape is what makes this stand out. The pyramid-style design means you can use the edges for more precise areas like around the nose, jawline and hairline, and then use the flatter top to blend everything out. It makes it much easier to avoid those tell-tale lines you sometimes get with fake tan or heavier makeup. In terms of performance, it blends really well. Whether using liquid, cream or powder products, it distributes everything evenly and gives a smooth, streak-free finish. It doesn’t seem to soak up loads of product either, which is a big plus as you’re not wasting it. It’s also comfortable to hold and control. The handle sits nicely in the hand, and the size is compact enough to pop into a makeup bag without taking up loads of space. Cleaning is straightforward too. A quick wash with mild soap and water and it comes up clean without holding onto loads of product, and importantly I haven’t noticed any bristle shedding so far. The only thing to mention is the price. At around £24.95 (at the time of reviewing), it’s definitely more expensive than a basic makeup brush. That said, the quality and performance do justify it if you’re someone who regularly uses fake tan or wants a reliable blending brush that gives a more polished finish. Overall, this is a really well-designed brush that feels high quality and does exactly what it’s supposed to do.
