This trims my beard exactly how I want it to, every time. It’s powerful without feeling aggressive and just feels controlled and precise in use. Battery life is excellent. It lasts ages between charges and the battery indicator is genuinely useful rather than a vague guess. The charging dock is solid and convenient, and it always feels ready to go when I need it. Build quality is what you’d expect from Braun. Nothing flimsy, nothing rattly, just a well made bit of kit that does its job properly. Expensive compared to basic trimmers, but absolutely worth it if you want something reliable and consistent.

Great battery life and a lot of components to choose from

I’ve used this trimmer for a few weeks and it’s easily the best one I’ve owned. It feels solid, trims evenly with no pulling, and the dial gives loads of control over length. The battery lasts ages and charges fast, plus it’s waterproof so cleaning is quick. It’s not cheap, but the quality and performance make it worth it.

As someone who has being using hair clippers and beard trimmers for 20+ years I'm truly impressed with these! For years I have used Phillips 360 for my head (always a 0-1mm) and Philips 1 for my beard, but this Braun unit now does it all. Hair is cut perfectly, nice and close, beard cutting is so easy with the adjustable guide so no messing around changing combs. Battery life it amazing, I've charged it twice in 5 months and use it a minimum of twice a week. Storage case is robust and the whole thing just feels well built and quality. Hair cutting 5 star Beard cutting 5 star Battery life 5 star, would be 10 star if possible !!! Would defiantly buy this product again.

Very smart looking and great quality trimmer fairly small compared to some others. Enough adaptors to sort out any beard and comes with a charging stand that plugs into any bathroom shaver socket. A lot of people complain that an EU plug is supplied but in reality this is the type of plug most electric shavers used to come with, it fits into a bathroom shaver socket as most hotels have. If you do not have a shaver socket then it us easy to buy a simple 2 pin plug adaptor for a standard UK mains socket.

Good trimmer with a one key weak component that ruins it. I had a cheaper version of this. It lasted a couple of years before it stopped giving decent cuts. So I "upgraded" to the £130 one. And it's great apart from one key component. The little bit of plastic inside the main trim head, the one that vibrates the blade so it's a key component, broke within a few months. One side clean snapped. This means the main blade sags on one side and you don't get an even cut any more. For such a key component, that is constantly vibrating FAST when it's in use, to be made out of such a thin flimsy piece of plastic is just poor design. It almost looks like it's designed not to last so you have to buy a new one. Except I won't be. If the top models like the one I bought have this weak link, none of the others are likely to be any better so it's time for a new brand. Overall - disappointing. **UPDATE** I spoke to Braun customer support. Following that, I'd updated my review to 1 star. For the following reasons: 1. This is advertised as "built to last". No. No it isn't. Braun support told me the main cutting head (the one you use all the time, that does all the hard work) will need to be replaced every 12-18 months. 2. Due to point 1, the "lifetime sharp" guarantee on the blades is effectively worthless as they are housed in the same part they expect you to replace every 12-18 months. The next problem was finding a replacement. Not available on the Braun site. Not available on most sites. I did eventually find one and it's costing me £40 for the replacement. I had mine for 18-19 months. I only use it every 2 weeks. So I've used it maybe 40 times tops? I paid £130 for it. So it's cost me £3.25 per use before I had to spend £40 to keep it working. All in all, very poor. A lot of their advertising and claims just don't stand up when viewed like this. Personally, I'll see how long the replacement head lasts. But if that only goes another 12-18 months it'll be going in the bin and I'll switch to something far cheaper. These just aren't worth the extra cost given how weak the main cutting head it.

Present for my son who was thrilled with it, quick charging, doesn’t pull beard hair, design is great sleek easy to hold & is accurate great value for money too.

I use a beard / stubble trimmer on the shortest setting as wet shaving leaves my skin with rashes, and dry foil shavers have a similar result. I've used a cheap Wahl trimmer for the last few years so when it packed in I took the opportunity to treat myself to a top of the range item. Confused with all the good reviews between this Braun Series 9 BT9441, Philips Series 9000 BT9810, Panasonic ER-GB86 and Manscaped 'Beard Hedger' I thought I'd simply buy all 4 and take them out of the box to look at the design, shaving head and how it felt in the hand. Braun - Loved every aspect (hence why I've kept it!) - perfect size and weight, standard head is a nice size, not too small not too wide and does edges nicely. The interchangeable 'detailing' heads is an added bonus, they get even closer to the skin. OK - one minor point - the 5v charger is a 'shaver socket / european 2 pin' style which I need to use an adapter with, although online you can buy 5v 3 pin or USB cables which I intend to do. Philips - Too big. Just a really chunky thing to hold, shame as it's built really well, and liked the fact that you didn't need to snap on a plastic collar to adjust trimming length, although I'd rarely use it for this. Panasonic - HORRIBLE clicking dial. Felt really cheap. Manscaped - Didn't love the curvy shape, not too much of an issue, but the head was just too large and with the plastic collar over the top it took too much room either side of the cutting blade so finding the edge would have been more difficult. Nice USB-C charging port though. All in all, glad I physically held each in my hand, and very happy with the Braun I've settled with.

Die Barttrimmer der Serie 9 verwenden andere Ladekabel als die Rasierer und Trimmer der anderen Serien. Nur leider sind diese Ersatzkabel bei Braun nicht lieferbar und es gibt auch keinen nicht-original Ersatz . Das heißt, wenn das Kabel verloren geht, ist das Gerät nicht mehr nutzbar. Das ist äußerst frustrierend und gerade bei einem Gerät der Premiumreihe nicht akzeptabel.
