Are these mildew resistant?

I am not sure if they’re mildew resistant. The outer material feels water resistant. We packed them inside our house and used them to transport our sons belongings to college.

No it is not canvas. It is a heavy duty plastic material much like what is used in the reusable grocery bags.

Are these bags water proof?

The bags are somewhat waterproof since they are plastic fabric. If you spilt a little water on them they would keep water out. If it was a lot of water it keep getting in.
