I love this item. I have a gas stove and when I opened the oven door, my alarms would go off from the heat. While cooking, I use the covers. They work like a charm. Reminds me of shower hats for fire alarms

Perfect for when you are having construction work done inside your home. I didn't have these last year when doing construction work and when I tested the fire alarms they would not beep. Apparently too much debris damaged them.

I got these because every time I make pizza my alarm goes off. I double them up on each alarm and they work great. Kinda ugly, but that's good otherwise I would probably leave them up by accident.

Using this cover, I can finally pan fry at high temperatures on my stove without the alarm going off incessantly. I always take the cover off after I am done cooking. Good quality product

Some detectors will still need to be taped off if the paint detail matters. If the detector has a flared “foot” then this will possibly only cover the working part of the unit and not the base.
