This is much better at scrubbing. And absolutely never gets soggy. I sometimes use my skoy cloth afterwards when I am wiping down counters. This cloth is awesome for getting dried egg off of plates, and is a wonder with soap scum in the bathroom. My sister loved it so much she stole a couple of mine. It makes short work of most of my cleaning task.

Can this be used on non-stick cookware?

Yes, I've used on on my non-stick cookware with no problems. It works very well and very quickly. I like the fact that you can easily rinse food particles out it.

What is this scrubber made of?

A plastic Teflon like material with what appears to be a slightly stiffer silver either plastic or the thinnest of metal woven through. I've used it on non stick pots with absolutely no issue though so it fits the brief of non scratch. Hope that helps.

Does it remove old stains on stainless steel dishes or just the new ones?

It will remove them if they can come off, but not any better than steel wool would. They are great for regular use.
