It depends what type of fountain you have - some fountains, like the Sephra ones can melt the chocolate but other brands may require you to pre-melt before using

Does this product contain milk please?

The packet states 'May contain traces of nuts & milk proteins' but that is the only reference to milk that it states. I hope this helps.

Does it dry hard ? can I crumb coat a cake or does it stay soft once cream is added

If looking to add cream to the chocolate to keep it smooth and ganache like then yes you should be able to crumb coat a cake. Without the addition, the chocolate will dry hard.
