Can not recommend for OM2 short runs but works well with OM3 and OM4
These work good on OM4 and most OM3 but even on shorter OM2 their light emitting is weak. There are better models out there but these are a decent price. If you have OM2 that you are going to use these with I would look at more expensive models that have better emitters in them.

Still working after 8 months
I've been using these for about 8 months and I'm really surprised how well it worked. I have them plugged into two Old Dell servers (R320 and R730), both have Intel NICs running Proxmox and an old HP Aruba s3500. They did not work right out of the box because all three devices complained about compatibility and had to be told to use them anyway. I tested throughput with iperf at the time and was happy with it but I haven't checked since then. The only thing I've seen in the logs are complaints about compatibility when first booting up. Overall I don't have any complaints because they were stupid cheap and they haven't failed on me.

10gb link achieved
Using these transceivers to accomplish a 10gb link between a mikrotik router, a ruckus switch managed switch, and a keepLINK unmanaged switch, keeping the SFP matching between on either end of the fiber for 2 of those connections. They were quickly recognized by the SFP+ ports and linked up at a 10gbps link speed with no hiccups. So far temps have been reasonable using the old finger feel test. Good compatibility and good speeds! My internet is only 1gbps but I’m seeing 980mbps on Speedtest.net and will be doing a local iperf soon. Fair pricing and good connectivity!

Reliable Budget Boost for 10G Networks
Snagged this 4-pack for upgrading my home lab's Ubiquiti UniFi switch to 10G multimode backbone, linking a NAS to servers over 150m of OM3 cable. Plug-and-play magic: Hot-swapped into the ports without a hitch, and they negotiated full 10Gbps duplex instantly—no firmware tweaks needed. The 850nm VCSEL lasers deliver crisp, error-free links with DDM monitoring showing stable Rx/Tx power (-1 to -8 dBm) even under load. Low EMI kept interference nil in my crowded rack, and at under 1W draw per module, they run cool without fans. Pros: Broad compatibility (nailed Cisco SFP-10G-SR, Meraki MA-SFP-10GB-SR, and MikroTik swaps seamlessly); supports OM1-OM4 up to 300m; rugged alloy shells with ESD protection survived a few accidental yanks. Value king—half the price of OEM packs. Cons: Dust caps are flimsy (lost one during install); illumination on the status LED is dim in low-light racks. Minor quibble: No individual serial numbers for tracking, but batch coding works fine. Verdict: If you're wiring 10G short-haul without splurging, these are a no-brainer for prosumer or SMB setups. Rock-solid for NAS/SAN/HPC; zero packet loss after 500+ hours of stress testing. Grab 'em before your network chokes.
