Super easy install and works as expected.
Worked perfectly. Super quick install (like 2 minutes, if that), plug and play. Just stuck it in my PC, turned it on and it was recognized.

Works great in my Dell 7020
I bought this to put a 1TB Crucial NVME boot drive into. So far it's working great in my MB's PCIe X 16 slot & I love the RGB lighting from it since my PC's motherboard doesn't natively support RGB(Too old & too 'business' to have it..Lol). I'm getting read/write speeds of above 3,000MB/s! That's a great improvement over the regular 500MB/s from a regular SATA SSD. I really like that they include all of the screws & thermal pads that you will need to secure the SSD into the adapter. I think this adapter is a very good value if you need to get an NVME drive into an older PC(for booting purposes your MB has to support booting from NVME, though, if it doesn't, I think I've heard that you can get around this with some kind of initial boot trick from a USB drive).

Decent for the price. My PC not on fire yet!
Ok, so first this thing took forever to arrive due to Amazon mishandling / system down? But once received I installed it with a "test" NVMe SSD and it worked fine. The two pictures show drive "H: an SSD connected with the adapter and drive "C" a Samsung 990 Pro on an M.2 slot on motherboard. Speeds are similar and considering the test SSD is an off brand it didn't do to bad. As others have said, the adapter dose bend or bow with the SSD installed but I believe it is due to the fact the heat sink when mounted and tightened causes the bowing, SSD held in place with the retaining screw but the heat sink fastened at both ends, the chips on the SSD located closer to the center when under pressure make the circuit board bow. My solution, order a new Samsung 990 Pro with heat sink and omit the thermal pads and heat sink that comes with the adapter. Don't get me wrong, the adapte works and the design or nature of the thickness of the board is what causes it to bow. The LED lights, well, blah, more light in the case, but it would be nice if they were recognized and controlled with Asus Armoury Crate... I guess to much to ask for a $14 part. Other than that, it works as expected and allowed me to add a 4th drive that I did not need (OCD here). I would say if you need more expansion and are looking for something faster, get it. The last picture is the speed test of 2 Samsung 870 EVO in RAID0 and you can see there is nothing to see when comparing to the PCIE or M.2 slots.

Flawless function, bright colors
The RGB is very bright and colorful, probably the brightest RGB in my case. There is no RGB control other than the on and off switch. The 4x PCIE to NVMe worked flawlessly with both a 3.0 and 4.0 drive with no fuss. Installed in an AM4 board (Asus C8H) into a full length PCIE 4.0 x4 slot (slot that is x16 size physically but only x4 electrically). It clicks into the slot with a little play on the back, but the front connection seems pretty solid. It's not sagging, and seems secure enough. At first, I thought the plastic screws/standoffs for the heatsink were missing, but they were just stuck in back flap of the cardboard box. They came in a separate small plastic zipper bag, rather than in the main component baggie.

Works fine with 4TB P3 Crucial SSD - RBG lights are annoying but can be turned off.
I bought this adaptor for price and compatibility for my Windows 11 Dell 3020 tower. There was only one 16x PCIe slot and I mounted a Crucial P3 4TB PCIe M.2 2280 SSD on it. With help from the Crucial support page, I was able to have my computer recognize it. Dell said I couldn't do it. The RGB light bar might be sexy to some, but I found it immediately annoying as it would glow between different colors all the time as long as power was on the computer, even in sleep mode. The bar is so bright it lights up my den at night, and I had to shut the door to not bother us while we were sleeping. Fortunately, there is a white slide switch on the right edge of the component side that you can push down (I used a small screwdriver since it would not budge with my finger) after it has been installed. If I was not able to shut it off, I was planning on returning it.

Very good m.2 read n write speeds. RGB is nice n bright, lights up the dark space under the GPU and the drive activity Cylon lighting effect looks cool and easy to see drive is in use. I'm impressed, I would recommend and would buy again .

For its price, I was immediately interested in getting this. I'm not a fan of having to install a Sata SSD because of cable management to he done lol, so I figured that I'll utilize the extra Slot underneath my GPU. Pre-installation: I like how small and compact the packaging is with everyone you need in it. The product itself is good quality and the extra screw driver was a nice addition. Instructions were clear and applying the pads and heatsink were straightforward. Installation: I had trouble trying to fit this in the slot at first, but it was actually supposed to be installed with heatsink facing down for my MOBO. Then click, it fits. Turning On/ Formatting: Not my first time formatting a new ssd, so after that, it comes up as a new drive no problem! The RGB immediately turns on with rainbow cycling, but can turned off with the little switch. However, it would be nice if it can be customizable to a static colour.

Works very well for the longest while now. My old motherboard had limited slots for M.2, and so I went looking for a way around that. This adapter was one of the solutions I came across, and is well worth its price. You get Full NVME speed (dependant on your drive) not impeded by much at all. Will only work if you have enough PCIE lanes free to operate it. For example my last board had 5 PCIE lanes, I had 1 occupied with gfx card, and there were 3 NVME slots that were filled. If I would have had 1 more of the 4 PCIE lanes available filled with something, I wouldnt have been able to use this as there would be no bus space at all for it. Keep this in mind when using adapters, and upgrading a current build. Works well, Never had any issues. Plug n Play, and forget! (dont forget to partition and format your drive!)

Plug n Play. I am using this adapter on a PCIe x4 slot on my machine, with Fanxiang nvme.m2 ssd. 500GB capacity. Detected by windows and Ubuntu both. Less than 3 minutes to setup. Excellent product.

Super small package, its smaller that expected. Works like a charm, tho I would say an ability to change what patterns the RGB uses and it brightness would be something to add to this. 4.5 stars.

At first I wasn't happy with this purchase. I plugged it into the pci slot and the rgb powered up but didn't boot my ssd (TEAMGROUP 1TB). Windows couldn't recognize it. Regardless of driver installation or recognition of the PCI device. I took a closer look at the packaging and the listed drives it supports / was tested with and I decided to try it with my Samsung 980 PRO. With no surprise it booted up just fine. I took a read on crystal diskmark and attached the results. (Readings identical to on board m.2 slot) Impressed and will likely buy another to fill my other PCI slot.
