Large Leaf Italian Basil Seeds - 1000 Non-GMO Seeds

I bought a lot of seeds because past experience was that very few grew. But this brand has a high germination rate, grew a ton of basil!

I actually just need one and multiply from that. I did just 5 cells with two seeds each, now I have too many. These have really had large leaf. One plant became 2, then became 6. From the 6, i can harvest a lo for pesto. Funny how I saved 2 leaf that I trimmed for my first cut to root, soaked it in water to keep it fresh but forgot about it. Saw it this morning and both leaf have roots. I wonder if the leaf will become a plant too.

Update several months later: the basil has grown so well. I gave away many plants. And I've harvested so much tasty basil. I was a little bit suspicious about the germination rate because of the packaging😂 It's actually really good. Now I have too many sprouts in each cell.

I’ve always had great luck with basil but these didn’t sprout at all! Maybe I got a bad batch

basil grew large bountiful plants all season

very good seed, i suspect 100% of all the seed was germinating and growing so be careful. dont assume you will thin out,, just go light on spreading and if your experience is like mine,, it will seem like all of the seeds took!
