Pray, Hope, and Don't Worry: True Stories of Padre Pio Book 1

This book is wonderful...absolutely, wonderful! It is the best book I have ever read on Padre Pio! It has short, inspiring, anecdotal stories about Saint Padre Pio that will touch your soul. So even busy people who don't have time to sit down and read an entire book can enjoy it by reading one short story at a time. If you aren't familiar with Padre Pio, he was blessed with many gifts to help him save souls by bringing people to Jesus. He died in 1968. 1968! That really isn't that long ago. In this book, we hear from many people who's lives were changed by this wonderful saint. The stories are definately very cool! Each story includes holy miracles, which are pretty amazing! To know Padre Pio is to love Padre Pio. I have given this book away as a gift on five occasions. THAT is how good it is.

Best book on Padre Pio.

This book changed my life when I first read it about five years ago, perhaps more than any other book I've ever read. I could truly feel Padre Pio's presence as I read the book. It was like he was right there with me. At the time, I had no interest in becoming Catholic. I didn't even identify as a Christian. Through this book, I fell completely in love with Padre Pio. At one point, I felt that he spoke into my heart these words, "I want you to become Catholic." My answer to him at the time was, "No way! That is impossible. There are way too many things I don't agree with and don't like about the Catholic church." Four years later, by some crazy twist of events, all of my reservations fell away and I felt an irresistible pull to become Catholic. I entered into the Catholic church during the 2024 Easter Vigil. It was only after I came into the church that I remembered this "conversation" I had had with Padre Pio year before. I was amazed. A favorite Padre Pio quote: "I will stand at the gates of Heaven and I will not enter until all of my spiritual children are with me.”

Although I love to read, I've been so busy that I don't have that much time to pick up a book lately!!! Relics of Saint Padre Pio had come to the church I attend in Los Angeles, California in Saint Peter and Saint Paul's Catholic Church. In the past I have attended the special mass and presentation about Saint Padre Pio which left me walking away very inspired. I have a particular patient in my pediatrics unit. These days, when I look at him I realize more and more that he himself in a miracle. When he was 5 years old the original diagnosis for him was that he was going to end up in a mental institution. In fact, it turns out that the doctor was truly incorrect. Fast forward to the future, that boy is now a 34 year old adult working within a sheltered organization. Reading Pray, Hope and Don't Worry, opened my mind and heart through all of the stories within in. The book is so well compiled, that I was able to read one story at a time. Before, I knew it, I was hooked on reading the entire book and had finished it. I highly recommend it to anyone who has, knows of or comes in contact with someone with any type of physical, emotional or mental disability. After reading his book, the reader will come away with a stronger faith and believe in miracles of the lord working through Padre Pio.

This book covers so many aspects of Saint Pio of Pietrlcino and his life. I am greastly inspired and have more hope now than i have had in a long time. His devotion to the Trinity and to our Blessed Mother is nearly incomparable.

This book is so well researched, comprehensive and beautifully written, that it offers something for everyone - even the non-believer. Padre Pio's simple, austere life as a priest and his gifts of the stigmata, countless miracles of healing and protection, bi-location and love of the Crucified Christ, all inspire belief in the absolute goodness and power of God. 'Pray, Hope and Don't Worry' is a must read for the world. The quest for faith stops here. I congratulate the author on this fine accomplishment.

Saint Pio, my spiritual father. How can I recommend this book enough? I'd give it ten stars if I could. I'd definitely recommend it to Catholics looking for comfort and inspiration and to people who are just curious about the supernatural, there are plenty of things in here worth pondering. Saint Pio was given amazing gifts by God, for example: bi-location, stigmata, and his guardian angel translated letters to him sent from people whose languages he didn't understand. Saint Pio isn't a saint from the middle ages either, he only passed in 1968 and you can find real life footage of him giving mass even on youtube. This book however, is full of first hand accounts of people who encountered him and it's just fascinating. I really loved reading this book. I couldn't put it down and pretty much stayed up all night reading it.

Amazing saint you can learn so much about how St. Pio's life, how he treated his spiritual children, the many miracles he performed through our Lord. He was very humble, and he prayed incessantly. He was very devoted to both Jesus and the Blessed Mother. He was truly a servant of God. I'm still trying to figure out how he managed to say 33 rosaries in a day. All those who met him were certainly blessed! Great book!

I always love Padre Pio story this is a very good book to read.

A saint very much needed to be read and understood by the current generation of Millennials... As you go on reading this book.. you will definitely get vibes that will attract you to return to Basic Christian Life... Jesus, Mary, Joseph, Rosary and Padre Pio.. Well when I finished reading this book.. I had tears in my eyes.. That's the impact this book makes.. Thanks to Author Diane Allen for a wonderful master piece.. I have ordered the second part of this book.. Saint Padre Pio kindly pray for me and my family....!
