Very impressed with this low priced kit. Paid about 17 for it. I've been repairing electronics for over 30 years, so many years of experience with various irons and stations. One of the most important things to me is the tip: Does it continue to clean easy? Does it begin disintegrating? I am very impressed with the tip. I actually clean mine with a little solder as it heats. Wipe the tip with solder until it easily flows on the tip. It has been a few weeks of daily use and the tip is still like new. Iron temperature: Next is controlling temperature. Too hot and traces on boards come loose easily. Too cool or not enough power and large solder connections get very hard to melt. This iron is very controllable for small work and enough power when the temp is turned up high to melt tuff large connections. Just give it a little time to heat it up. The accessories like the solder remover is cheap, but actually works ok. Trigger gets a bit flaky after some use, but still usable. Not a solder sucker for intense daily work, but fine if your just using it now and then. The wire stripper surprised me with its ease of use. Then you have a nice case to hold everything. Solder and soft Flux is a nice toss in as well. Tweezers are flimsy...but seriously...who cares. Basically, for the price, it is a truly great deal! Buy it, use it, enjoy.

I love, love, love this soldering iron. It comes with everything you need to get started right away, which I really appreciate. It works beautifully, and I have absolutely no complaints.

The kit was an absolute lifesaver for me. The solder included isn't the greatest quality, but will do for non-professional use. Super easy to use, and feels like decent build quality. I wish the sponge included in the stand was a little more substantial, but over all works as intended. The carrying case is awesome, and fits everything nice and neatly. The iron heats up quickly, and I love that it can easily be adjusted. For my particular use, it was used in micro-soldering, and performed remarkably well. The tips are okay, just requires constant cleaning and retaining, but that could also just be used error honestly. Overall, great kit for the cost.

Worked great for a couple of months ... The plastic collar broke after about a month... I drilled it and put a screw in it ... A few months later it just completed disintegrated .. I have been using it that way since. But it is getting annoying .. it's floppy ... so, looking for a better one .. But all in all, I got my money worth out of it . But, it could be a better quality or better design at that point .
