Easy install works and looks good

I am impressed with the quality of this piece - it is sturdy and seems well-designed from a fitment perspective. It matches the sheen/color of the OEM blackout emblem kit, for which this completes blacking out of all chrome trim where Toyota leaves off for the newer 4Runners. My only ding is on the adhesion. Time will tell if it holds up, but you can tell that the installation of the double-sided tape was more an afterthought than a carefully followed procedure. Whereas one side had a continuous strip of double-sized tape, covering end-to-end, the other piece had two separate strips, with a ~1.5” gap in the middle where’re there was no double-sided adhesive. Perhaps the line worker got to the end of a roll of tape, and instead of discarding the portion that was too short, they decided to use the too small remainder, and then had to cut a new strip from the next roll of tape, but in doing so they weren’t careful to ensure careful alignment/matching up of the ends of the two strips of tape. Again, I am hopeful that this will not present problems or lead to any deterioration of the adhesion over time. All-in-all, this is exactly what I was looking for and I am not disappointed in the quality, appearance or fit of the product.

I wish I took a ‘before’ picture. I had everything else blacked out, but for some reason they leave these pieces in the front in chrome. It looks much more complete now. Simple install. Happy customer.
