The INKEY List Beta Hydroxy Acid Serum with 2% Salicylic Acid and 1% Hyaluronic Acid to Fight Blackheads and Breakouts 30ml

This chemical exfoliant is amazing. Over the years Ive tried physical face exfoliants, with tiny pieces of coconut, oats, natural gritty stuff and microbeads (sorry oceans). They may brighten my skin by sloughing off dead cells etc but I was often left with tingly, sensitive, delicate skin that didn't welcome being then rubbed with serums and makeup products. First time I tried this was when it first came out. This is by far the best chemical exfoliant I've used. Obviouslybit does not need rinsing off, unlike the physical scrubs. Just use it as part of your skincare routine. (For me, after either a salicylic gel cleanser or micellar water, after my toner, before my treatments like matryxl.) My skin loves it, it's never sensitive afterwards, and it looks so fresh and clear and smooth, ready for other products and makeup. I use it every morning, without exception. Ps. My skin is combination, less oily now I've been through menopause but not dry yet, as most menopausal skin seems to become. Lifelong large pores. (BHA so good for that.) Sensitive-ish skin.

This is a great, affordable option if you’re looking to introduce a beta hydroxy acid into your skincare routine. I’ve used this serum a few nights a week and noticed my pores look more refined and my skin feels smoother, especially around the T-zone. It’s lightweight, non-sticky, and absorbs quickly. I appreciate that it doesn’t have a strong scent or unnecessary fragrance. It layered well under moisturiser and didn’t pill. If you have acne-prone or congested skin, this is a solid BHA choice, especially at this price point. Just remember to pair it with SPF during the day, it can make skin more sensitive to sun. Would repurchase. Great starter chemical exfoliant if you want something gentle but effective.

I love this product! I use it every day and it really makes a difference to my skin. The texture is light, it absorbs quickly, and a small amount goes a long way. It’s good quality and lasts for ages. I’ve bought it several times already, great value for the price.

This absorbed into my skin nicely and didn’t leave any residue after, but I wouldn’t say it’s helped clearing any texture or blackheads on my skin as much as other products I’ve used in the past, it damaged my barrier and broke me out. The cost for 30ml is a lot compared to more gentle exfoliants on the market that provide better results and are more effective at reducing appearance of blackheads. A little definitely goes a long way with this as one or two drops is good enough for the whole face.
