They are dried chicken strips. Value is a bit steep for the amount provided. Can’t speak on longevity as the bag was small for a 90 pound dog. They smelled a bit off, can’t tell if fresh (as they were so dry); however my dog ate them eventually. I gave her 3 pieces daily, bag was gone in 5 days; so probably won’t buy again as bag was lighter than a bag of microwave popcorn.

I purchased the chicken treats a few times before. But it’s been a while. This time my dog would not eat it I usually make it myself in a dehydrator but we were traveling and I didn’t have time to make my own. From my own experience I know what the chicken without glycerin or any other additives supposed to smell like and look like. This chicken has oily chemical smell and texture is different from before. It’s very greasy. Feels like there is some additive that is not disclosed. Chicken has weird oily rubbery texture. Not sure what kinda oil was used and not disclosed on the packaging. Some oils are toxic and I would not want any on my dogs treats. The company offered a replacement but I don’t want the same thing shipped to me. They promise money back guarantee but they didn’t offer the refund at this point. I included The picture of my freshly made chicken and the yellow rubbery oily chicken from the company to compare.

My dog was a HUGE fan of this treat. We've been ordering this on an off for about a year. We loved the simple 1-ingredient. You could tell it was chicken. Then for some reason -- the last two orders have been different. Each piece has a strange smell and instead of seeing the simple striation of the chicken breast meat, each piece is all crispy and bubbled so it's hard to say if its just the skin or the high quality chicken meat. I ordered another batch thinking it was maybe just a one-time error but now I'm on my second bag where the quality is the same. Strange crispy/bubble chicken with a weird smell. Even my dog is less excited by it when I give it to you. I wish they would go back to the original, good quality chicken they were using! Or fix the bubbling/crispy issue.

My dogs love these! All natural so I feel good about feeding them these. Was giving them a different brand for a few years but they changed the formula on them, and they became too thick for them to chew. These are nice and just the right thickness, not too thick or thin and great for my small dogs. They would eat the entire bag in just one sitting, if I let them. They break easily if you want to just give them a small piece.
