Yes, but it has to be fairly close to the lights. And the required battery is VERY difficult to install. I found a helpful tip from another buyer explaining how to do that.

No. Each set has a battery pack.

Hello, Sorry for the late reply. It’s 2 packs of strings, each pack is 20 ft long with their own batteries.

Can you wind together to lengthen?

Yes, I suppose you could. You would have 2 battery packs instead of 1. You could do it with a small twist tie to connect the 2 ends & having a battery pack at each end. Hope this helps.

These give a nice yellowy glow and looks great on the wood backdrop and in our tree. We had them on our tree for 6 months and everything still works. Took them down for winter.
