Daakro AK45 Stereo Audio Amplifier 300W Bluetooth 5.1

This is something that I found in a shop garage, and I liked it, so I got one for myself. Pros: It is small but packs a punch with the right speakers. The remote is nice for putting it someplace high and keeping it out of the way. It looks like it is durable. I use it in my wood shop, and it sounds great even over the saws and shop vac running. Bluetooth connection is good. I have my phone in my pocket most of the time while walking around the garage, and it stays connected. I have walked out of the garage to the other side, which normally would kick off other things, and it still works. FM radio works great. Ran the wire outside, and I am getting all my local stations I want to listen to. Cons: Nothing so far. I am happy with it.

This is one of few items I sought out to post review. I’m old school, graduated high school in 80’s and been missing the sound quality in music that could get from cranking the old 200 A speakers that take up a space in the room! This device helped me get that back. And for a price that I feel more than fair. I brought out speakers that had not been used in 20 yrs and hooked this up, very old school, simple, and again enjoyed music the way is meant to be heard! Bluetooth is stable for my use (larger workshop and small yard area). And also love fact that is small enough that can easily disconnect from speakers in workshop area carry it out and connect to speakers in outside work area. Quite possibly one of my very favorite purchases for myself in very many years!!

If you're buying this, you're probably just looking for an affordable compact replacement. The unit is smaller than I was expecting which works out well. The sound quality is a little less than my prior receiver especially in the bass range (I'm using the same speakers and wires). Rock music sounds great. The instructions that come with it are a joke and don't make sense half the time. Bluetooth does work well and the range is as advertised. The USB port does not charge my phone even enough for slow charging so it's purely for flash drives. Overall it gets the job done but it's nothing special.

Very nice with tons of possibilities. My immediate use is for the rear speakers in my surround sound system. I’m switching over from the 3 in the front, 2 echo speakers in the back with a subwoofer to live speakers in the rear. I’d always operated the rear speakers in I think they call it 5.1 mode where the rear speakers are simply a delay of the front speakers. When I’d bought them, there was no 7.1 mode but the speakers were a good quality and I’d always thought that I’d wasted a little money buying such a quality speaker for that purpose. A couple of years ago I purchased a new receiver and didn’t pay attention to it’s long list of applications. I later realized it supported 7.1 sound so with a separate amplifier, they could be fully integrated into the surround sound system. This amp did all that and more. I’m not currently using the Bluetooth functionality but plan to set that up as well in the near future. Don’t let the size of the amplifier throw you off. It’s very powerful and puts out some real power for clear and crisp sound. The size makes it possible to put the amplifier close to the reciever without even knowing it’s there. I have been able to connect to it pretty easily from a 2 room away range within my typically sized ranch style home.

If I could give less than one star I would. Spend the right money and buy a quality product from a reputable seller, not this. I bought this after being influenced by TT. It seemed like a great option and the seller made it sound like it was backed by good customer service. Well, the unit lasted a couple weeks before having BT connection problems, audio volume control problems, and now the radio won't even work, it just buzzes. I figured oh at least this comes with a warranty and customer service 24/7....WRONG! The email address they provide for customer service takes you to a dead email address so that's cool. And then if you try to reach out to them on here for help, they will respond to you maybe after a few days until they ultimately ghost you after capturing your address saying they will send a replacement product....but never do. So horrible customer service there as well. A month and a half later and still nothing from them. I cannot stress enough that you buy something else from some other seller!!!! Do not buy from these people. -little to no customer service even though they say 24 hrs on the item page -product has failures reported across the board Save your time and money and buy somewhere else.

Initial tests: It is very light, not like older stereo equipment I’ve used. Wired it to some new 8 ohm 2-way speakers. I used the FM radio, the Bluetooth to my iPhone, RCA jacks to a 3.5mm headphone jack to my old iPod. Even the USB thumb drive with some MP3 files in the root folder. Tested the play/pause button, skip button, back button. Treble and Bass knobs. All worked great. Good volume knob. Bluetooth was a little slow for my iPhone to recognize. But it eventually worked. Things you should know: good on/off switch. Nice big volume knob. This is what you’ll use the most. I’m putting this in my kitchen with new ceiling speakers so ease of use for the whole family is important and is very good. No need to read a manual. However: MP3 play order is random. It is a cheap Chinese product. Meaning packaging is cheap and micro manual is clearly translated from poor Chinese. Example: “3. Play music, turn to phone call mode or turn to the other voice for amplification, no. When this device is needed for amplification, you can switch the bluetooth mode on the phone to the receiver. Mode is ok.”

I use this only to provide an upgrade to the internal speakers on a bedroom TV. Even with small bookshelf speakers, it sounds better than the TV speakers. I have a 'smart' surge protector into which I plug the amp and a small DVD player. Turning on the TV turns on the amp and DVD player. I do not use the FM radio function. While it claims Bluetooth compatibility, it will not connect to the TV via Bluetooth. As a matter of fact, it does not appear in the TV menu for Bluetooth devices. I did not try to connect my telephone to the amp. It DOES provide RCA input jacks, with which I was able to use to connect the TV. It does NOT have automatic level control, and variable audio output levels vary from streaming service to streaming service. The same goes for fixed audio output -- the TV output is fixed, but the audio signal level varies from service to service. In addition, there seems to be a conflict between the IR signals from the amplifier remote control. Using the amplifier remote's volume control to reduce volume works fine. Using the remote to increase volume results in backtracking movie playback on HBO Max, different incorrect functions on YouTube videos, and a 10-seond backup of movies on Amazon Prime Video. I usually leave the amp volume maxed and change levels with the TV remote. It's not a vintage Marantz or MacIntosh, but it's adequate for TV audio.

Needed a small radio at work to play a thumb drive. The radio parts works really well inside a metal building too. Very impressive little unit .
