Upgrade on the handle feels good

A visible fault locator - absolutely essential in many cases in finding fibre faults, especially within buildings but also in identifying fibres. I have tested this visible fault locator with my 1km launch box and no issues, as I would expect. I'm not able to currently test the claim that it can fire over 30km but will update if that opportunity arises - it does from time to time. The handle is a metal and knurled nicely and it comes with a very well made pouch and is bundled with an LC - FC/PC barrel. I'm very happy indeed and look forward to using it in anger.

This is really nice bit of kit. Super simple to use, with just 3 modes, one being off, the other being on and slow blink. Plugging it into one end of the fiber and you can follow the end, if you've got protection caps on still it glows them up red without an issue. Super useful if you're trying to locate a patch or lost fiber or of course test if one should be lit but isn't. Comes with small adapter, fabric case and wrist lanyard. The attachment for the adapter has it place on the fabric case but it seems like there would be a better option for it. Thankfully, the box kit comes in has additional space, enough for a fiber cleaner so if you don't mind carrying the box around instead mine fit perfectly in it. Didn't have a problem running it off of two AA rechargeable 1.2v batteries. Overall, solid metal feels durable that does what you expect it to do.
