Ordered this on 4/10/2025, and this morning at 8/1/2026, it finally gave out. For context, I play VR as a nightly ritual with my partner, and it honestly never gave me issues, until about two weeks ago, where it began flickering its' connection between my PC and my headset.It was horrifically annoying, but enough bumps and adjustments to the headset let me keep playing, at variable times.Now, the head feels extremely loose, but the sleeve and connector portion are very much intact, meaning the cable supports likely aren't enough to prevent it from breaking.A keen reader might notice I gave this five stars, despite it breaking. It breaking is likely because of how I used the cable, and it's not as flexible as you think -- but $30, plus shipping, every year and a couple months or so? I think that'll do just fine for me.

I used it at first with a 45 watt anker charger and the orignal 3 foot occulus charging cable, but kept saying water in port like the other reviewer here "Works fine, but a minor problem. When using this, my session gets interrupted for my headset to say "not charging due to loose debris in the charger port", only for charging to have been unaffected."SO TO FIX IT, I used an anker 20 watt usb c charger and the official charging cable that came with occulus. YOU MUST PLUG IN A USB CORD INTO THE PORT, without it , it will not charge right! Now I don't have any water in port warnings.. TLDR : PLUG LONG CALBE INTO HEADSET AND PC. THEN GET 20 WATT USB CHARGE WITH TYPE C , THEN PLUG IN OFFICIAL OR HIGH QUALITY USB C TO USB C CABLE INTO PORT ON THIS CABLE FROM THE CHARGER.I can play horizon center and still charge!!!! VERY GOOD. Fans spins up and is running great!

Before you buy this know that the description isn't even accurate if you're sitting on your meta 3 in pass through while NOTHING is running your battery will deplete. I left this charging g my headset all day and came back to 30% charge. I plugged in the cord to the brick and it's a regular charger then I plugged in BOTH CORDS to the wall and it still drained the battery. Here is a REAL reviewer saying this cord does not work or do anything the photos say it can other than be durable but let's be honest if it can't even charge your headset through play IMMEDIATELY OUT THE BOX WITH NO DAMAGE DONE TO IT AT ALL why does it matter how durable it is. Waste of money. This is literally just a normal charger from any store. Don't but this.sizes?UPDATE:I connected this to TWO fast charging bricks for the wall and it got 6% in 30 minutes. So an hour is 12% meaning a normal cord on a normal brick would charge your headset FASTER than this. You can use those cords without this, but the reason you need this is because those cords can not charge and game at the same time and those cords are nowhere as long and durable. Dont get me wrong, the specific items i listed are REALLY NICE but this is MADE for durability. With this cord setup (do NOT use the usb end to charge it, just twist tye it to the other cord or something if you arent doing pcvr.) I can plug up my headset from my center room and comfortably reach every room in my apartment knowing my headset wont die.Get this but it wont work without specifically those two parts. You can even get a type c bent adapter too because its gonna stick out really bad. Do that and you're solid.

I purchased this cable after two other third-party cables failed to maintain a connection between my Quest 3 and my PC. Interestingly, this one only works if I flip the angled USB-C end 180 degrees so that it points backward. I'm not sure why this is the case, but when it is plugged in normally, with the angle facing the strap, it constantly disconnects.Aside from that, the build quality is nice; it’s just a shame that it still experiences occasional disconnects.2/3/25 UPDATE*The customer support team from the company reached out to me and sent a new cable free of charge, which I greatly appreciate. However, the issue remains that it does not fix the ongoing design flaw where the cable only provides USB 3.0 speeds when plugged in backward. It works when plugged in this way, but experiences occasional disconnects. After this, they issued me a full refund.Either way, I do appreciate the company reaching out to make it right.3/4/25 UPDATE*Customer support has graciously sent me their new and upgraded cable which has been working perfectly! I am blown away by their customer support and satisfaction. I am definitely going to continue doing business with this company as they have gone above and beyond to make sure everything is resolved and I am happy. I 100% recommend this company just on customer support alone, and their new cable has been working perfectly. Thank you again!

Challenge, how to keep from running out of battery when racing with a VR headset? this works great with my gaming PC to link my Quest 3 when using the Meta Horizon Link

This cable is fantastic. The cable allows the highest resolution of quest 3 graphics when linked to a computer. Unfortunately, the quest 3 does not charge with the standard cable thus you can only play for about 1 to 2 hours on high graphics. Using this cable, you can play theoretically for days I said allows the headset to be charged while playing games. An absolute must for all cable linked quest players.

Very recently I started getting back into PCVR but wanted a way to keep myself connected. Without having to worry about battery life. I use wired ALVR and had been dealing with cables that just made my quest slowly die over time, so I decided to get this cable. It worked great for the time. I had it until a few days ago. I was playing blade and sorcery and randomly just got disconnected from the link cable. It immediately reconnected back, so I didn't think too much of it, but then it kept doing it. Every minute or so it'll disconnect and then reconnect. Eventually, it stopped working at all. And then after reconnecting all the cables it started charged looping. The green light would come on but then it would keep blinking and then eventually it would stop but my quest would start slowly charging causing it to die on the charger. I don't really like Meta so I usually keep my wifi turned off so I don't update. I thought maybe it was an issue with that, so I ended up updating my quest to no avail. I tried plugging in the cable to many other devices and it still gave me the same issue. My primary headset is a Meta Quest 3. I have two Quest 2's that also experienced the same issue with the same cable. I don't know how it happened or what even started it, but i took really good care of the cable. I really don't understand what happened.

The cable works as intended. A plugged-in Samsung goes from 3h charge time without extra power, then down to 37min with the original charger plugged into the power slot.Note that the original charger, plugged in directly to the phone, activates "Super fast charge" (25min), whereas the extended cable only activates "Fast charge" (37min). While this is definitely better than a basic USB cable and does not alter my review, it's worth knowing you don't get a 1:1 power output ratio.I don't have a VR headset (yet - which prompted my need fo this cable) and I may update this review when I test this cable out with that.

Short term review - Tried it, works with quest 3 for charging and video output via quest link and steams virtual desktop. It doesn't necessarily charge the device while video output but the quest doesn't loose charge either which still means unlimited play time. Charging does occur when plugged in but headset switched off. Would highly recommend, specially for the tough braided cable.
