Solid, but small in scale & tedious to assemble
My thoughts: * Once together, each ruin is nicely solid, not chintzy, should hold up nicely to play * Assembly, while not difficult is VERY tedious, as each section is its own square and instead of having snap clips to put the wall sections together (like Mantic's sci-fi Battlezones) you are expected to hold together multiple wall sections plus interior and exterior seam-hiding plates. And they MUST be at near-perfect perpendiculars because the second story floor (again, glues together square areas) must sits in these seam connector portions. * There are instructions for 4 different pre-built ruins, and just the first ruin has 57 different labeled pieces in there! So take your time! * Do a decent job cutting the pieces from the sprues! As if assembly isn't already precious enough, if you happen to miss a burr or a plastic tab cutoff point, then things stand an even bigger chance of not fitting together directly as instructed. * Because GW don't want you buying this (semi) affordable terrain for Age Of Sigmar, the scale is noticeably smaller in line with the Middle-Earth Strategy Battle games more 25mm/28mm scale rather than AoS' 28mm/32mm. Strangely even the older Ruins Of Middle Earth MESBG terrain kit is noticeably larger than this one. It works fine with what is meant to work with (MESBG) but your AoS models will look comically large here. So I enjoy the results, but getting there was a definite chore (I vastly prefer Mantic's connectors to GW's hold-it-together-and-hope bar connectors). And (at least in terms of GW's awfully predatory high pricing) it is actually somewhat cost-effective for MESBG terrain.

While pricey, this is a fantastic set!
Details are amazing, it's super modular. It's hard to find something to complain about other than the price.
