Smells great. Kinda pricey.

I didn't know if I needed this when I first ordered it. It's touted as an odor-eliminator of that 'old person smell.' Well, I'm old, and I'm a person, so I decided to give it a try, just in case I had innocently been offending people with that 'old person smell.' After many months, i have had no reports from the people in my milieu regarding any change in my personal atmosphere. The benefit to using this, however, is its lovely, very subtle scent and its moisturizing ability. Additionally, perfumes I wear are pleasantly--but not blatantly--enhanced. In fact, I prefer my favorite scents layered over that of the persimmon. As a true soap, this also rinses off so quickly and cleanly from both the skin and my nylon bath sponges and my loofah. I recommend this soap for everyone, old and smelly or otherwise.

Was horrified learning about old people smell and I never want to have that odor. Bought several different brands of the persimmon soap and they are all good. It is not a fragranced soap but has its own natural scent to it that does not carry over after the shower. First time I used it I felt really fresh and clean. Also I did not feel dried out from the soap. I don’t use it every shower but maybe three times a week. I love it around my ears and hairline. It got rid of little bumps on my skin there. It unclogs and melts away old sebum. I think everyone young and old should be showering with this soap at least a couple times a week. I will always keep this around love it

I like how well it cleans and deodorizes your private areas. It lathers very well and rinses completely leaving your skin moist and not sticky or slick. The soap performs very well and the bar is a good size. Nice scent but isn't powerful. Keep the bar in a dry place and it will last longer. I will buy again. It's more expensive but worth the money for your skin.

This soap is so gentle on my skin. It definitely helps with dry skin and deodorizes naturally . It does melt quickly if left in an area where the shower stream hits it, so keep it in as dry a place as possible. I keep mine in a soap dish on the edge of the tub outside the shower curtain liner.

The bar SHRUNK too rapidly after only a few uses. For example, after first two uses, the bar shrunk by about 25%. At present, after a few more uses, the bar shrunk by about 75%. So, after about 4-6 uses, there is only about 1/4th of the bar left. I got this as a lower cost alternative to the more expensive one that is heavily marketed but it's looking like the high shrinkage rate negates it being a 'bargain'. So, because I got so FEW uses out of it, it's hard to say how well it worked. The bar would have to last longer to rate how effective it was.
