I was very dissapointed when I got it. No information how to use. I wanted to send it back but tried one way and other way. I found it working when you place it in the bottom of the pot up side down. Not like it is on the photo in Amazon. I bold milk and it didn't come out from the pot! Anyway, test before you trust and buy the kitchen stop watch.

This is a classic milk pot watcher, made exactly as it was invented and patented in 1920s. And, of course, it works. I took off one point because its edges were razor sharp to touch and I needed to use sandpaper to round them off, or else they were scratching the bottom of even stainless steel pots, let alone aluminum pots, and cut through the dishwashing cloth.

I have had mine for about 30 years and LOVE IT. I have never had a pot boil over if it is in the pot. I bought this one for a friend because I had been bragging on mine and she wanted one.

I'm sorry to say that when I received this product, it looked like a dirty soup can lid. There was black residue in spots that looked like motor oil and more of what just looked like grimey dirt. The idea of using it to prepare food was unthinkable. It was so gross that I literally threw it in the garbage.

Drop it in the pot and then no worries about water boiling over, especially when cooking pasta!
